Yeah, totally. I will always remember him because he once posted one of the funniest pictures I have ever seen. I saved it somewhere. I would literally break out cracking up every time I would see it. I haven't looked at it in awhile. I know I will still crack up just as hard when I do. A gift of true laughter is a great thing. I watched the full Hard Knocks episode to get some context, so let me set up the entire situation for you before passing judgement-

1) In practice that day, a lot of people were slacking. Blocking was a joke, people were lazily walking thru scrimmages and the coach was infuriated. Meanwhile, Landry made several amazing plays and appeared to be moving twice as fast as everyone else. The head coach singled him out several times for giving massive effort.

2) Some players were getting mad at Landry for going so hard and they were talking trash. To my surprise, he responded with "Bless you." He explained that he's blessed for his talent and players who challenge him make him play even harder. So he wants God to bless them for helping him get better. This kind of shocked me because it doesn't jibe with the guy throwing punches last year.

Oh, and he was running the entire route tree and making great plays as well. I was surprised...shocked even.

3) After practice, the coach screamed about giving full effort and people not working hard.

4) Landry said what he said in the video after the WR meeting (which was directly after the main practice). Whether it was good or bad, I believe he did it trying to help the coaches and to step up as a leader. Maybe the message missed but his intention was good.

5) Afterwards, Landry said that he rarely speaks up because he's not good with words. He felt the room needed to hear from a player though because there was no intensity at all.

As a side note, the head coach had two deaths in his immediate family within the last 2 weeks...yet he was still at practice like nothing was wrong. I think that really ate up Landry because the coach was so engaged in the worst of times and almost everyone else was slacking. Personally, I believe he was doing everything he could to help his coaches so they can win this year.

Watching the episode changed my mind about a lot of things- I might be a Landry fan again.

From the little bit we've seen, I think Garappolo is a better QB than Brady. The guy is 10-0 as a starter in the league (for two teams...the best and the worst) and he sees the field beautifully- Brady did us a huge favor by getting him shipped out. As much as we loved juice, I lost all respect for him when he started talking smack about the team. Once I could maybe forget as ppl let thing slip when they are emotional. He went out of the way to slander the franchise and made it personal with RT. I am also immature but a bit older and have a different perspective. He got paid!!! (Way more than I think he is worth. Maybe 12 maybe even 13 but 75 mill 15/year for a glorified slot. They may use him on the outside)
He got paid, he should have been the bigger man, do his stupid "bless you/team speech", but move on.

I actually don't miss him. I was going through highlights of the first pre-season games last night. There was a pass that he caught in one of the highlights, really nice play. I actually didn't know it was him as he wears a different number now. But after he caught it he got in the DB's face and my first thought was, "what an *ss". Then I realized it was him. I think he's getting worse. I think he's going to get even more penalties than he did here.

He got flagged for that play for taunting..back shoulder throw on the perimeter..

I didn't know know if he got flagged or not since I was onely watching the highlights, but it looked like he deserved a flag.

I think that he's so passionate and gets so caught up in the game & trying to win, that stuff just comes out. I honestly don't think you can ever coach it out of him either because nobody will ever tell him to lose that passion that makes him so successful. So it's kind of a double-edged sword....either you live with the awesome plays & stupid penalties or you don't. He's going with 100% all-out intensity from kickoff to the final whistle.

I think I like him again to be honest...but I'm also glad he's gone. Heck, that may be why I like him.

Definitely full of himself, sure his Twitter name say's it all, and is increasingly disrespectful of his opponents.

I definitely got to the "don't" on the 'live with it or don't' decision. But I was happy for him getting the big contract and wished him well until he started all the lying and bad-mouthing. Now even that goodwill is gone. I had heard over the years from people who'd been in the locker room that the know him was to hate him. Maybe I just feel I know him a little better now.

I've heard the same thing...but I don't think it's him being a "jerk". There's a fine line between motivating people around you and being that annoying person who's always putting others down (while thinking you're helping to build them up). I think he's that guy. I think he thinks about winning 24/7 and can't understand why everyone else isn't as passionate as he is. When he tries to verbalize it, the words come out as "I'm better/smarter than you" instead of "I want to help the team be better." And I think he drove Gase crazy with his non-stop suggestions and insights.

As I said, I'm glad he's not in our locker room anymore. But I don't think he was trying to insult Tannehill or anyone...he's just a bad communicator that wants to be a leader.

I notice the reviews of Clevelands' pre-season victory did not spend much time on Jarvis's two catches, except to say his longest catch lost half of its yardage due to his antics. I would describe their coverage of him as luke warm. This can't be good news for them.

I can't think of the sports show many of us here watched a few years ago with "Dr. D" as the sports psychologist, but I think that's what Landry needs to balance him out.

While I agree that he's a poor communicator, I also think he's very selfish. My guess is that's a big part of why people don't like him. While I believe he's about winning individually, I don't know that he cares as much about the team or anybody else beyond how it would benefit him individually.
