Halo 3 Recon (New game or expansion?)

Bungie has several projects underway within the studio, one of which is a brand new campaign experience for Halo 3 that we teased two weeks ago. Now, at long last, we can lift the shroud of secrecy and shed a little more light on what we've been working on.
We'll have more to say later, but for now, check out our official announcement trailer which builds upon the teaser and provides new insights into what awaits next Fall.

No word yet whether this will be strictly an expansion or a complete stand alone game. Saying it comes out Fall of 09 so that may not have been decided yet.

I'd be buying it too. I enjoy playing the halo series more for the campaign mode, than on xbox live. A new campaign works well for me!

I was very blah on the single player campaign, but doing it co op? Now thats a ton of fun.
