Gumbel and Dierdorf Commentators for Falcons Game
12 replies
Gumbel just said at the end of the Falcons-Chargers game.
They are the #2 team on CBS.

To be honest i dont give a crap who the commentators are, Im just ready for some football! :D

Nice! I like pretty much all of the announce teams, but Greg Gumbel is one of my all time favorites.
Gumbel is a pretty good announcer. Certainly better than Joe Buck.

For those of us won't see jets lose, the #1 crew will describe it to us))

Dan Fouts was commentating the Falcons game last night. Too bad he couldn't stay for the whole season.
Gumbel is also one of my favorite announcers. I remember when Gumbel and Sims were the #1 announcers on CBS.
I live in Charlotte. That's closer to the Atlanta region, so I'm likely to get the Dolphins/ATL game. Who the hell wants to watch the Texans/Jets game anyway? I can't figure why they'd get the #1 crew. I mean, we're talking about the Jests here. The Texans are going to embarrass them anyway.

The only reason Nantz/Simms is doing the Texans/Jets is because Nantz has never done a Texans game and he is a season ticket owner for the hometown Texans (I know it makes no sense since he is busy on Sundays, but that is the truth). Basically this was the best oppurtunity since the Steelers and Patriots are both in primetime and none of the big market NFC teams were on CBS (Cowboys, Giants, Bears, Redskins).
I was upset about this, until I found out that CBS moved the Bengals and Steelers to the late doubleheader slot thus making that the primary game over the Dolphins/Chargers, which I just don't get. But whatever.
Either way, Fouts will be Dick Enberg's partner on the three team (who will be calling the Dolphins/Chargers game as the number two team will be doing the Jets/Titans).
That schedule guy that shows up once a year.

I am with ya on this one. He does not like the Dolphins. I end up shouting at the TV because of his stupid shots at Miami.
Greg is good. But Brian is horrible.
Havent ever really liked Dierdorf ever since his old MNF days.
