"Although we are capable of great acts of kindness, history teaches us that we sometimes need saving from ourselves – from our recklessness or our greed. God sent into the world a unique person – neither a philosopher nor a general, important though they are, but a Saviour, with the power to forgive... It is my prayer that on this Christmas day we might all find room in our lives for the message of the angels and for the love of God through Christ our Lord." (Christmas message, 2011)

i know. Not a Dolphin. But he was a beast. Even though he’s a Pat, you have to respect how he played on and off the field. Wish he had been a Dolphin.

Lots of people will tell you what they think about you and what you shouldn't and should do. Not everyone's thoughts are worth consideration. Don't take criticism from anyone who you wouldn't also go to for advice.

Was a great player but he had to step down. His body was breakinng apart, he couldnt take the hits like he used to. Almost retired last year, decided to give it another go. On games played this past season compared to others, he had the worst season of his career. But he ended his career with a terrific game in the Super Bowl.

Went out on a high note. Great player, not gonna miss playing against him. The fact we had to change our defense against the Patriots just to try to account for Gronk made it uncomfortable to watch. And he would still destroy our linebackers regardless how we try to match against him.

I think the Patriots are gonna be fine without him, like i said he was a complete shell of himself last season.

Thank god.

Most dominant TE in NFL history. And I hate him and don’t find his schtick endearing.

Tanking is like taking a Greyhound bus cross-country. Sure, it may eventually get you where you want to go, but it’s messy and unpleasant and uncomfortable, it stinks, the entire time you’ll be wishing you weren’t there, and not everybody along for the ride is going to make it to the end. - Quote stolen from Deadspin
