The Beast!!! Now with Suh, just imagine what he can do. Sick!!!! http://www.miamidolphins.com/news/a...-Players/d95494e4-fa8e-45fc-8fee-c9025ba3a4f3 I am so happy we have Grimes. It's great having a guy who can shut his side down and cover great receivers of the likes of a Calvin Johnson, etc.
grimes is losin a step my ***..you don't go from covering the best receiver in the game as well as he did and lose a step in the same year..not happening..you don't go from a 40 inch vert and drop Calvin Johnsons jaw to a 30 inch vert and claim age is catching up, .Folks who who correlate some stats that show some decline in the 2nd half of the season in numbers and blame it on age don't know what their looking at and don't know how to measure it.
I just wish he could have followed up his great coverage on Calvin Johnson again when he had to face D.Thomas in Denver..another way we could have won was if we could have shut him down...I like Grimes allot, but he did have a pretty rough second half of season last year..maybe a hamstring or something was bothering him?
The point is you don't lose a step from one game to the next...D Thomas Imo is the best in the game...that whole defense fell apart, I wouldn't put therap on grimes.
Grimes was not as good in the second half of the year. I don't blame that on age, Jenkins, Mitchell, Odrick weren't as good either. Call it whatever u want but it's hard to watch any of those guys play late in the year without noticing a decline.
Of course you can lose a step from game to game. Wear and tear/minor injury affect players all across the league. Check Lamar Miller vs Detroit, he looked like a bum. Nah he didn't forget how to play RB, he was hurt and it showed.
I'm not putting the rap on him DJ. It was just another scenario that helped in preventing us from more victories. That is all I was saying....many aspects of our D had failure in Denver, so no one unit or player was responsible for the loss...it was a team effort.
