Tyrion went in dry.

Masterful move by the dwarf. He is going to name his brother as his knight and put pops in a bad spot. Thats my guess.

thought that was a great episode, one of the best ever. so now Tyrion picks a knight to battle with? Probably Jamie or that other knight, the one in gold, that testified at the trial... they don't like each other too much do they?

It is pretty obvious who is his champion.

At the end of the episode I was pretty sure that he would pick Jamie as his fighter. The only other guy I could imagine is his friend (don't know his name) who was practice sparring with Jamie.

Who fights against Tyrion's champion? Does the throne just pick a fighter?

Yes, Tywin picks the other champion since he is conducting the trial.

If you want to know the identities of the champions who'll fight in the trial by combat:

For the crown: Gregor "The Mountain" Clegane
For Tyrion: Oberyn Martell

The fight presumably happens in episode 8, "The Mountain and the Viper". Oberyn's nickname is the Red Viper.

This show is amazing. This entire season has had me on edge.

I have to admit, I didn't love the first two seasons of GOT. It took a while for me to get in to it. But now... Wow. Just wow.

"MY brother is dead"

Theon is pathetic now. So sad to contrast that from how he and the Starks were in the beginning.

I hated that scene.

They're freaking Ironborn. They're basically Vikings. They cross an entire continent and raid a fortress only to be chased off by a guy with a head too large for his body and a few dogs? Come on now, D&D.

Season 5 needs to see some serious Greyjoy redemption. Victarion, come on down…

The silver lining, though, is that Alfie Allen steals the show every time he's on camera.

I dont know Im just speculating but imagine if Jamie is his champion and now Tyrion is forced to pick a knight to fight his son. The one he wants to bear him a son and carry the Lanister name. If Jamie dies so does the family name and if he lives then the Dwarf goes free. Its so diagolical. I hope its whats coming up

I think you misinterpreted that scene. The Ironborn were ready to fight to the death. In the end, why risk fighting when the reason you're risking your life in the first place, is to save your brother, who doesn't exist anymore? The whole ending with her proclaiming Theon is dead is why she and the Ironborn got out of dodge.

So I just finished book 3, but I'm trying to stay away from the book readers thread. After reading book 3 all I can say is, if they end this season the way the book does, HO LEE CHIT!!!!

And it's entirely out of character for them.

It was also very poorly done. The execution felt very clunky.

Same. He really did seem like a sad/wounded dog in that scene. Great directing and even better acting. It helps that Gregor got some screen time in the episode, so we can contrast the Hound with his big brother. Helped the scene quite a bit.

I hope some HYPE is in their future.

Its kind of a let down that Jamie did not stand for his brother
