Miller projected him as a sixth-round pick at the end of the regular season but now feels he could go late in the second or early in the third.

“He’s like a case study in talent over production,” Miller added. “He’s extremely talented, but teams will have to figure out if the lack of production (during the season) comes from him not being used correctly or from him just not being an asset in the game. Trying to figure that out will be a factor, but he’s going to blow up at the combine.”

Goodwin, who said he recently ran a 40-yard dash in 4.28 seconds, could threaten the combine’s electronically timed record of 4.24 set by Chris Johnson in 2008.

4.28 is fast. Very fast. Some team will take a stab at him just for his speed.

Every single year people say that and every single year people come up short. Guarantee he doesn't break the 4.2x barrier.

I just watched Texas vs Oregon St and I liked what I saw out of Goodwin. He runs good routes and has very good hands.

He's not just a track star who happens to play football, he's a football player who happens to run track.

Speed doesn't last very long in the draft. I could see someone spending a pick on him in round 2. He had a strong showing at the Senior bowl.

I don't think he'll go higher than the 3rd or 4th if we're using Jacoby Ford as a barometer who is just as fast but probably a more polished receiver coming out of college.

I disagree. He is a track star that happens to play football. The guy is one of the more unproductive receivers that are available in this draft. I'm not going to place the blame on his lack of productivity on his coaching staff.

I agree. It would be a major shock if Goodwin went in the 2nd IMO.

Texans fans say they never utilized Goodwin. Goodwin looked real good at the senior bowl.

The 2nd round would need to hold close to 70 picks if we put every player into it that we say "this guy might sneak into the 2nd round" about, ya know.

Well I was wrong. In my defense, I had no idea they switched back to the old timing system
