If we at any point line Henne up under center with 4 WR's and no RB I willfind Hennings old *** and beat him. Thats such an inviting formation for a sack.
They get help some times....he gets his nickname because alot of times the Jets will all out blitz...and send the kitchen sink...because he is so good in man to man...they can afford to do this...
thats the point, I am so frustrated with that bro....why are you under center with nobody in the bacfield... I LOVE the 4/5 wide, but I cant for the life of me get why no shotgun....
This. How in the hell do we have 5 wideouts and no one in the backfield, AND HENNE RIGHT UNDER CENTER?!? It was mind-boggling when they ran (unsuccessful) plays out of that formation. WHY WOULD YOU HAVE 5 OUT WIDE AND STILL MAKE YOUR QB HAVE TO DROP BACK TO THROW IT? WHY THE ****, DAN?!?
but they dont ALL out blitz on every blitz though, most of the time there blitzes are every guy except the CB's....it is alot of line, and LB stuff....tthe secondary including the safties stay home.... dont get me wrong sometimes they do send everybody including the safeties on 3rd and longs etc, and yes Revis is on his own then, but the majority of the time, the safeties stick around on their blitz packages...
There are some (my neighbor) but overall, ya gotta admit, Jet fans have earned their reputation Thanks for being classy yourself!
there were a couple of those plays where we were literally saying if he was in the gun, he would have had the extra second....second and a half to see somethign he wasnt dropping in 3 to 5 step drops.... if they run this offense w/o a shotgun against this Jets defense, they aren going to win....the blitz can be burnt, but he needs a few seconds to do so...how do you create the precious few seconds??
He has been doing this since he came to Miami, he used the same formation for Pennington...that and the playaction on 4th and forever are some of ny personal fav's.
Not sure why there is a Revis debate. Look at the stats. Look at the receivers he goes up against and their numbers. There is no argument. Revis is a beast. Bottom line, both teams are tough. This is going to be one physical game. Curious to hear all the boos for Jason Taylor. Gonna be a great game that comes down to the 4th quarter.
Clearly, it doesn't really work with Henne (who needs to be protected because his read skills aren't really there it seems). Why they keep going to these things rather than Shotgun is beyond me.
This isn't a Revis thread, but I just wanted to make a statement. The difference between Revis, Woodson, Bailey, Asmougha is so small. It really is. They're all great. IMO, Champ is still the best, even with the age. I don't think he's given up a reception yet this year--which included shutting down Mike Sims Walker of the Jaguars. Last year, he didn't give up a single TD either. He's amazing, still at the age of 32 or whatever it is.
right, and you have Miami, who went into one of the most impossible places to play, and beat the legendary Favre, and I can hear my farts moreso from all the beer I drank yesterday.....
He has been saying he was hurt all week. I don't think he pulled the injury card, I think he aggravated it. Jason Allen has had two good games in 4 years, I'm encouraged, but you can't name him in the same sentence as Revis. PS Maraucci (spelled it wrong) just gave J Allen some love, showed how he got touched on the back shoulder pass to Berrian, but he was ready for it the next time with his pick.
Absolutely they have. It's the one game a year where I refuse to take my wife and I'd NEVER bring a kid to it. Fights everywhere, those heathens will insult kids and women without hesitation, throwing things, as a group they are lower than apes and that's an insult to apes.
That name is unfortunate. From what I heard, all development has ceased on Revis Island and it's going to be sunk. Meanwhile Davis island is prime real estate.
Or Champ Bailey....however, that's really quibbling....We'll take him, hammy and all if you guys want to give him up for nothing... At any rate, it's really rare to meet or talk with a jests fan that isn't a jerk. I say that as a follower of the Fins for a long, long time...I mean, I disliked the jests when some arrogant arse predicted a SB victory...broke my heart that he actually did it.... At any rate, as to Revis faking an injury, I doubt that. It's pretty common for guys who haven't been in TC to have hammy issues once the real games start...so I don't doubt that he is hurt...and hopefully he'll be hurt enough to miss this weeks' game...that'd be fine by me...
The talk last week was about Revis's hammy so why would anyone be surprised if he didn't tweek it more this weekend? And yeah, I think REvis is one of the best CB's in the league, top 2 or 3. When you get that good does it really matter how you rank them?
I would rather him play less than 100% against Brandon, have Brandon tool on him, and hurt himself more....
With all of this Revis talk, I hope someone tells Sanchez and the Jets we have a pretty damn good corner on our team as well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n1VLQPxD9ME
