I've been flirting with the idea for a while but today I finally broke down and bought a 360. I was at the Gamestop store we have at our PX on post here today and it kind of happened. I won't be active duty military soon and I'll lose my PX and military star credit card privileges [good interest rate for a credit card] so I figured why not do it now. I picked up the 360 pro and got a good deal on a used extra controller and a charger and some batteries. I picked up Left 4 Dead and Fable 2 to get me started. I must say my entertainment center looks nice with both a 360 and PS3 sitting on it. I was wondering what some other good 360 exclusives are that I should pick up in the future. And also where I can get a wireless internet adapter for cheap. My setup is not conducive to using an ethernet cable. Thanks guys.
you still haven't played Bioshock right? its cheaper on the xbox, and the extras for the ps3 arent anything special. Mass Effect, Gears, and Banjo Kazooie are all lots of fun. and in the arcade, check out braid, castle crashers, and geometry wars.
No, I've been meaning to play Bioshock but I haven't gotten around to it. I've played the PS3 demo, that's pretty much it. I might put it on my rental list with the sequel coming up later in the year and all.
I'll have to acquire a wireless adapter before I can get into any of the online stuff. Left 4 Dead has been a lot of fun so far today. I've played at least a couple of hours with the wife. She doesn't play games very often so that's quite an accomplishment. The game is nothing fancy but quite enjoyable.
I bought an xbox wireless adapter off of ebay for like $36. The 360 wireless is pretty expensive, if you can find it used at gamestop they sometimes have 20% off coupons which would make it a decent price.
You could use it as a wireless adapter until you could snag one. Just connect the 360 and the laptop with an ethernet cable and follow instructions below. Worked for me. Hey, way to add something to the discussion, fanboy! On topic: If you like driving games, you have the right system now. Forza Motorsports, Test Drive: Unlimited & Burnout Paradise are all worth the 6,000 pennies.
I know...so was I. Dammit, I left out the smilie at the end. That could possibly be true if there actually WAS a Camaro right now.
I'm not going to lie, I like camaros, but I hate that hood. I saw one driving down the street as I left work today and I couldn't help but shake my head.
I hear you. There are plenty of PS3 games you can get a hold of now. On a side not my wife is officially addicted to Left 4 Dead. Every time I turn around she wants to play it.
halo, virtua tennis 3, oblivion, fallout, pgr4, burnout revenge, resident evil 5, street fighter 4, etc
Thanks. I was mostly wondering about exclusives. I have several of those games already for PS3. Or maybe games that are better on 360 for some reason.
I forgot about PGR4! PGR4 and XBox Live.....ah....nothing is as fullfilling as beating a room full of Frenchmen at a race!
so i'm going to go to best buy today and get a new game. i want to combine fun with 'on sale' so we'll see what i end up with. i think gtaIV is down to 39.99... which may make me buy that. fable2 is still like 59 so i dont want that. already beat fallout 3. I could do gears 2 but i think thats still full price.
I had previously rented GTA4 through Gamefly and that really hurt me from being willing to purchase it @ new prices. Less than a week ago I went to Blockbuster to check out their games and saw they had used copies of GTA4 being sold for 14.99. Usually I'm not a big fan of used games, but it is actually in surprisingly good condition. GTA4 for $15 is definitely a good mix of fun & "on sale" IMO I did some checking around as well, and the lowest used prices you can find on it is $19.99 from Amazon. The local flee market here was selling it for $25, and Gamestop was going for over 30 still.
