Per source, the doctor who gave Godchaux a second opinion said it's a three-month recovery, so Godchaux hopes to beat that and come back at the end of the season. Out extended period.

Maybe my math skills are off here, but isn't three months from today in the middle of January? So if he can cut a few weeks from that, he's saying that he plans on being back in time for the playoffs...

Davon Godchaux officially placed on IR after he tore his biceps. He had surgery this morning and a 3-month recovery is expected.

3 months is expected. However, if he gets ahead of schedule he may only be out for 2 months and be back for late season/playoff games.

Tough break for Godchaux in a contract year. Between this injury and the emergence of Sieler/Davis, I have to imagine that this is the last we'll see of him in Miami.
