Glenn Dorsey on the trade block

padre31luxury_boxOPThe Chiefs are down on DT Glenn Dorsey and may be willing to trade him, according to NFL.com's Jason La Canfora.
La Canfora says the new coaching staff doesn't like Dorsey, the No. 5 pick in the 2008 draft. Like many other Chiefs, Dorsey landed in coach Todd Haley's doghouse when he showed up to camp out of shape and flunked a conditioning test. Still, giving up on Dorsey just 21 games into his career would be a surprising move as the trade deadline approaches.

No surprise, Dorsey was a bit of a tweener coming out of LSU and the Chiefs are already a bad team leaving him little room to develop, but that #5 pick contract is just too large for must teams to take on./

While he was great in college doesn't mean he would translate to the NFL. Conference has nothing to do with it. I think he is better suited as a 4-3 DT.

Look at Carriker in STL, dude should've been used at DE.

So then you agree they're not utilizing his strengths? In that Conference, it does make a difference IMO.

I was referring to defensive players. Their have been a ****-ton of offensive players that came out of the SEC who fell flat.
Unfortunately, we drafted one of the Defensive players who never made it (don't think I have to mention his name)

Sheesh Sick, Jason Allen is one of the 5 best ST players in the NFL.

Not like it matters now Sick, Allen is what he is...
As for the Chefs, AdamKaplan is going on about the NFL not being MLB, there may be a couple of small deals and not much more

Injuries and work ethic must play role in why he hasn't done anything. I would like to see him in a base 4-3 before I would write him off.
If that was the case Hardkore SEC players would be selected over every other conference and small school because SEC is so elite. Sorry I just don't see it.
