gets beat out by Hagan, Bess takes the slot role. Looks as though Miami will be trading him before the trade deadline or next season. Looks like are WR corps for next week will be #1 Hagan #2 Camrillo #3 Bess Seahawks might be the prime suitors.
I wonder if the underperformance of the WR's is because the QB happens to be Pennington instead of Henne. I'd like to see them take a chance with the rookie before they kick Ginn out.
Maj... coming from you... im a bit surprised. i agree, I can see it happening though. He barely saw the field this week. That is definately not a good sign when an undrafted free agent in Bess, and Camarillo, and a guy who has been dogged as a major bust with a major case of the dropsies over the years is starting ahead of you. Punishment from the FO for Ginn... a wake up call to maybe get his butt in gear... maybe. Possibly. Id hate to have to trade him, I like the speed he brings. I think maybe if we started henne we would at least have a better chance to use teddy's speed to get down field and get the ball to him... back to the point though, the way this regime has treated players who arent performing, I could see them trying to move him. I can see it happening, but i think as of right now, more of me things he wont be moved. Im warming up to the idea though. especially if we can get a high pick for him
I would trade Ginn in a heartbeat. Bengals, Seahawks, Niners. Anyone who will give us any type of draft pick/decent player. Ginn is a bust, and I am okay with saying I told you so.
Chad Pennington has had barely any time to work with these WRs. It's no surprise the passing game is stagnant right now. When Chad Henne came in, a QB who's had time with these WRs, he made Bess, Hagan, Camarillo, and Ginn look better. Look guys, after a 1-15 season last year I know we all don't want to see too many more losses but this is really sad if our fan base is willing to throw in the towel on this season after week 2.
Weird how he was open when Henne was in the game. Im not ready to give up on the guy yet. If we have a solid O-Line and a QB behind center who has some zip and he still fails then yes, dump him.
I agree, he's out of here. If not during the season then definitely in the offseason. It doesn't matter if you think he's talented or not, the coaches aren't playing him hardly at all, which is a sign he has fallen from grace with them.
Chad Pennington did not look in Ginn's direction once the whole game. I watched very closely for that. Now who's fault it is, is up for debate. I said it before the season started and I'm sticking with it...Ginn will have a hard time making big plays with Pennington's arm. It's not a good combination. I suspect that whenever Henne gets to start, Ginn's play will be much better.
Really? He isn't returning kicks or punts, he was demoted as the 4th or 5th WR, only came in for 4-6 plays with Henne. Pennington should not be starting any more screw it, Henne was making throws that Pennington could not.
Classic overreaction Ginn isn't going to be traded, he needs to be able to utilize his speed and he isn't going to be able to do that with Pennington throwing floaters out there.
I'm still trying to understand why he isn't on KR/PR duties. Whether he's fallen out of grace as a WR or not, he gives us the best available option at those positions and we aren't putting him there. That's a coaching problem in my mind.
Exactly, Pennington knows his limitations and he isn't even giving Ginn a look. Last week Ginn was wide open a few times and Penny didn't even lok his way.
Why would they keep Ginn? How about because if you keep flip flopping your roster every season you'll never have stability? How about because instead of sending another player to a team where he will thrive (ala Wes Welker, Heath Evans, Chris Chambers, Adewale Oguleye, Donald Lee etc.) we actually DEVELOP the talent we have? How about we would not get value in return for him because if we do start shopping him teams will know we're desperate to get rid of him? OR how about Ginn is not useless? How about when Chad Henne came in, a QB who spent time with these WRs in training camp and pre-season he was actually able to complete passes? How about because our WR corp is so thin right now that getting rid of Ginn would cripple us even more? Do you need more reasons?
it would be stupid to trade him. for his potential you still aren't going to get good value back..he needs a gunslinger qb like henne
Shame on you for not knowing that people will misrepresent facts and use misleading statistics to prove their obviously incorrect point. tsk tsk
interesting will allen is trying to teach him. ginn just cant strive with pennington, but coles did. pennington hates him or something doesn't even give him a chance, he really likes martin though
yes as the #1....weird how ginn got 34 receptions last year in limited time but only has like 3 so far this year
As I recall, Parcells had a considerable influence on Terry Glenns career with the Pats. When he left, Glenn's production dropped off, and once again resurfaced when he joined up with Parcells in Dallas. Perhaps its time for the Tuna to have a little talk with Ginn, a "one on one" with his latest "she" reciever.
If Pennington isn't even looking his way and couldn't hit him even if he did, what's the point? Again people, Pennington's lack of arm strength is handicapping our offense. Teams are cheating against the run and forcing him to beat them in the air which he can't do. There is a reason that the Jets were trying so hard to replace him.
Wow over reaction anyone? Pennimgton is the worst QB for a player like Ginn. Ginn will be much better off with Henne when the time is right
I BELIVE CHAD HENNE LOOKED GOOD GOING 7/12 FOR 67 YDS AND TOOK US IN FOR A SCORE WITH 2 YARD RUN BY BROWN THAT IS A POSITIVE got to love those MIAMI DOLPHINS IM A TRUE FAN UNTIL I DIE WE WILL BE OK ITS ONLY 2 GAMES LOOK AT ALL THE O-2 TEAMS SOME GOOD ONES THERE [/I]
Yeah, because if the posters on the Fins message boards had administrative power over this team, we'd have drafted Randy Moss instead of John Avery, and Drew Brees instead of Jamar Fletcher; would have fired Dave Wannstedt after 2002, would have drafted a QB in the first few rounds in SOME draft between 1984 and 2006, would have...well, you get the idea.
