I have a trade offer for Teddy Ginn to Ronnie Brown, straight up. My RBs are Jamal Lewis, Selwin Young, Chris Johnson, Jonathan Stewart, and Ledell Betts My WRs are Chad Johnson, Jerricho Cotchery, Vincent Jackson, Donte Stallworth, Ronald Curry, and Antonio Bryant Thoughts?
Ronnie is definitely more valuable for fantasy purposes than Ginn. But if your league counts return yards/TDs, that's another story entirely, though I'd still err on the side of Ronnie.
Then it comes down to how you think Ginn will do as a receiver this year. Some people think he'll hit 1000 yards and 10 TDs, not counting return yards/TDs. I think that's too high. But likewise, I don't see Ronnie being a major factor this year. So, if you think your WRs are weak, go Ginn. If not, go Ronnie.
Ronnie. Even in a time share he should hit 900+ and 7-10 TDS. Thats more valuable from a RB then from a WR because fewer RB's are out there to attain that.
Provided we're not talking about a keeper league, and the decision comes down to production based strictly on their performance this upcoming year, Ginn is more valuable, IMO. I don't put any stock in all the articles written about how far ahead of his rehabilitation schedule he is, Ronnie Brown will have a similar fate as all other RBs in history who have suffered an ACL tear. In almost every instance, they're a shell of their former self for that one year. There's no doubt in my mind that in 2009, he will be the same machine we saw the first half of last year, but in 2008 he just won't be that same guy. Combine that with the fact that R. Williams looks good and the Dolphins will be playing from behind quite a bit this season and you have a more valuable fantasy option in Ted Ginn. Just my two cents..
