It's a new series that's on Friday nights:

    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tO0JxqRrRR0]YouTube - Ghost Adventures - Premieres Tomorrow, 8 and 10 p.m. ET[/ame]

As you can see they are more in your face than the GH gang, these guys find the baddest most evil entities and pretty much are in their faces challenging to bring it. Good stuff.

The series premiere was this past Friday were they go to Bobby Mackays in Kentucky but it is repeated this Wednesday.

Watched it, definitely a solid first episode. I've also seen the special they did prior to the series, damn good evidence found in that one as well.

I ignore all other shows without even checking into them after all the farces I've seen except for Ghost Hunters who've legitimately gained the respect for their show. Didn't know there was another one out there which seemed legit.

This is the guy who got the footage of a brick and 2X4's being thrown around by an entitiy out west right?

Didn't like his personality at all that documentary but if he's bringing some good evidence to the table I'll watch.

yeah you definitely have to adjust to Zak's brash personality and way of investigating, but in all honestly it works well when provoking as proven in last night's episode. In regards to professionalism however it doesn't hold a candle to GH, but in the end it's really all about the results.

    what was seen last night?

    A clear apparition?
    Shadow or actual features?
    Looked legit to you?

I know you follow this as much as I do and are just as wary of evidence from certain shows so if you're impressed by what you saw I look forward to seeing the show.

Yes it was seen last night. You could actually see parts of the apparition as it started to manifest behind the investigator, then it was followed by an EVP. It definitely looked legit to me, especially when they cleaned up the video footage at the end of the episode and zoomed in.

I watched it for the first time last night and I thought it was really quirky. To much was like acting. I see no comparison to Ghost Hunters. GH is by far a better and more realistic show. IMO any way.

As I said before, the personalities and professionalism of the GA crew does not compare to that of T.A.P.S. However, they did collect some compelling evidence. Given the nature of this field people will obviously choose bits and pieces of what they believe to be real, all depends on the individual's perspective.

There is another show on A&E I think that is about the same as GA. I think they are out of the Penn State area. I really haven't been able to get into them either. They did have an exorcism that was cool to watch.

Paranormal State. I watch that for pure entertainment. It has no real value to the field IMO, and doesn't really offer anything in regards to evidence, not to mention their use of mediums. I watched the exorcism episode as well, while some things were interesting and not easily answered I honestly thought the girl was just plain nuts. Could there have been an actual possession? absolutely...is that what we saw? who knows...

But I do enjoy Chip Coffeys work on it as a medium.

I found the demon (who I won't name) that followed Ryan around from case to case after an exorcism entertaining. Although, Chip did pickup on his 'supposed' presence on one of those cases and was able to identify him, and then confirm it with Ryan to be the same one.

    Update from his Wikipage:

Which makes me wonder if Zac style of provocation actually protects him from this, evil entities will mostly look to latch on someone who is emotionally weak and something that Zac is not - or at least projects in his demeanor.

For example last night one of the entities confessed they hated Zac but never really acted on this towards him.It could have easily slapped him or such but never acted on their hate towards him, makes you wonder don't it?

Yeah, that seems to be the case from what I've seen/heard as well. Although, it's also quite possible that he has never come across a case dealing with such otherworldly entities as of yet. Last night it seemed pretty clear he was communicating with atleast one, possibly more, trapped earthbound spirit(s).

BTW, did you see the Psychic Kids episode when the girl that was possessed and the Chip and a priest where able to axtract the entity from her?

The possessed girl was not faking it, I was convinced of that fact.

I believe you're thinking of the Paranormal State episode with the Priest and Chip. I don't remember one from PK. Are you referring to the entity that called himself '6'? If so we were discussing that one a little early on in this thread.

Honestly I don't put the show on the same level as Ghost Hunters but I would rank it as tied for my second favorite paranormal show (Ghost Hunters International is also second). They get a little to scared and loud but isn't that what most of us would do?

Good show and I try to watch it every week (Ghost Hunters still owns my heart though).

I love Ghost Hunters as much as the next person, but after that debacle of their last live show my respect for them took a little hit, it seemed more like a plug for other Sci-Fi shows and pushing theirs then doing an honest investigation and I think a lot of evidence as a result was compromised and for me the sanctity of evidence should always be paramount over anything else.

Ghost Adventures is growing on me more and more because they have yet hinted any desire to market and go down the same avenue - knock on wood.

Ghost Hunters just does that for Halloween and Sci Fi does make them take on the guests, etc. If you watched the show you can tell they couldn't stand the Miz and would have never put him on the show otherwise. The evidence on that show was solid I thought especially the jacket tug.

Yeah they have done things to make me question them but overall they are still far ahead of all the other shows.

Oh I know it's just done for Halloween and Sci-Fi does push these guests on them, but Jason and Grant need to realize that TODAY they are one of the most popular shows Sci-Fi and need to exhibit better control on the quality of the show.

Any fool could have seen Miz was an assclown and would be an hindrance and should have never been allowed to step on that island.

Now that guy from Scare Tactics, Steve Valentine I believe, was a great guest, not only did he seem genuinely interested in what they were doing but I was impressed in the questions he asked towards the spirits and in the manner that he did it.

I wholeheartly believe that spirits are like ladies in a single bar, they will only pay attention and react to you in a positive fashion if they buy what you are selling to them.

Take Tango from GH for example, ever notice that he rarely gets responses when he ask questions to the spirits? To me it's a result that his pitch is weak, he is not commanding enough and the genuine belief is that spirits will react better to stronger forces - aka personalities - like Jason or Grant who always do seem to have better luck in communications with spirits.

I think this was their 1st season, I think they did about a half a dozen shows or so, if they get picked up it should increase to around 13.
