Geno Smith played on cellphone in pre-draft meetings

I saw this yesterday, New York is going to eat this kid up, by drafting him all the Jets did is give us even more years to laugh at the train wreck their franchise is.

 

He has a huge huge ego, not unusual for a Qb but his play really didn't match up to it.

Oh, there will be some fun times the next couple of years, heck, they probably could have just signed Vince Young and saved themselves the bother of using a 2nd rd pick

 

And yet ESPN will still hype him to no end.
As they did with Tebow and Sanchez

Regardless of what team Geno got drafted to, I lost all my respect of him when he acted like a big baby when he did not get drafted in the 1st and said he was going home. I was glad he got picked with the Jets

That about sums up my feelings on this move by our good friends the Jest.

Keep in mind, I thought Smith would be a good NFL Qb, but this is not going to work very well

 

agreed, except the last part. I thought he would be bottom quintile QB at best in the NFL if he went to the right team. We know that's not the case, so time to sit back and enjoy.

THing is, even the Jets fans I work with are struggling to be positive about Smith. Their best comeback is that he's better than Sanchez.

 

As I said, they just could have signed Vince Young and saved the #2 pick, only VY was probably better but he's not the sharpest tool in the drawer
