Yeah, you're going to be here a long time..
I think you need to read the TOS and board rules here bro.

Lol at the notion they just "wing it". No, they're smart enough to know what plays to call and where to throw the ball. Some QBs are that gifted. I'm shocked you are surprised by that notion.

Ofcourse they wing it, change it at the line, audible etc. That's part of what makes them so great. Never said they don't.
YOU implied that it's ALL THEY DO. I.e. they don't 'need' coordinators, nor does anyone they work with get any credit for them being good. That is a lot more absurd.

No use in arguing why this a bad hire guys. Gase is the miracle worker we've been looking for! He will bring balance to the force! Superbowl bound!
Lol where is LBsfinest? I know how he feels now.

For the 3rd time, please quote where this is stated or even SLIGHTLY IMPLIED by anyone on this board. I will wait. Again. For the third time.

I know that Qbs like Manning, Brady, Rodgers, Marino, ect don't need OCs to be successful. We hired a guy who is got credit for Manning playing as good as he always did for a couple of seasons.

I don't give him a ton of credit for manning but this statement is wrong bro. Great qbs will succeed with practically any coordinator but Manning had a superb season especially given his age and he did improve Cutler who is far from great. He's by all accounts a very smart man. He's willing to adapt to his players and he's young, innovative and hungry. Exactly what this team needs on the surface. Everybody has to start somewhere. This team doesn't need a short term fix like Coughlin or shanahan, neither of whom won this season with better teams than miami. Gase success will be tied to the front office. Coughlin didn't go from super bowl winner to bum because he forgot how to coach. Talent wins. Good coaches get the best out of good players. I think Gase Cleary has the intelligence and adaptability to do that if he is given talented players.

Not sure why you're attempting to bring any logic or reasoning into this abomination of a thread.

They really don't need coordinators. Maybe the WRs, RBs, TEs, do. But those type of QBs really don't need OCs. Brady has had a few, he looks the same every year. Manning too. Rodgers and Roethisburger too.
I'm still waiting for the optimists to tell me why this a good hire.

I wonder why they bother hiring OCs then. Oh right, because everyone outside of HOF QBs who just throw out the playbook can't function without someone telling them what to do, apparently.
I guess I won't ask a 4th time, then. Too easy.
You want to know more? Sign up for club. Apparently everyone there is a lot more at ease about the hire than you are, without all the emo cutting as well.

Lol you typing the topic doesn't mean Jack **** kid. Lol @ your rules. Your rules are worthless. Thanks for the laugh though.
So we now know that no legit OC will be coming here, and word is another Cincy DB coach will be our next DC.
No one at the top will really know what they're doing, and the new HC will be multi tasking, doing his old job, which he's still learning btw, while he tries to learn a new job at the same time.
Sounds like a recipe for success.

Well, I thought you might enjoy another intelligent fan chiming in. I just hope I didn't break the OP rules by posting logic. And hell, who knows maybe a little bit of my logic somehow rubs off on one of these schmucks.

Bellicheat, McCarthy, others have gone seasons without needing an OC because their QBs are good enough without one.
Enough with the emo comments already. Clearly you can't handle arguing with someone who god forbid has an opinion you don't like concerning this hire. You can join the others in burying your collective heads in the sand.

If someone dislikes the hire that is fine, they should probably just have a reason why, you know, unlike yourself.
HUE HUE MANNING HUE is not a reason. But hey, to each their own. I'll enjoy the rest of my day not cutting.
Burying our heads in the sand because we refuse to believe it's a BAD hire based on nothing (on the first day). mmmkay.
I don't even particularly like the hire. That's the funny part about this. I'm just not going to jump on the doom and gloom bandwagon.

I gave you my reasons, you didn't like them so you argue like a 5 year old and do the groupthink thing like what is typical of kool aid drinking fans.

I'm about as far as u can get from a fanboy. This franchise has been a **** storm for the better part of a decade. We lack talent across all levels but your reasoning for not liking this hire is ridiculous in my humble opinion. I would say time will tell but if Gase isn't given much better players to work with it won't matter who the coach is/was. Considering you give Gase no credit for den or chi you of all people should realize a HC is only as good as the talent around him. If given talent I suspect Gase will do more with it then most coaches the fins could've hired.

Pushed up against a corner. So you rely on you're little freind over there to help you out. You want to know why this isn't a good hire. Broncos are my second favorite team. I've been watching them way more than you. Gase took the Bears 21st total offense to the 20th, WOW, WHAT A CHANGE!. Gase has been under the real OC in Denver PM. If Gase was hired by say the 49ers or Browns and developed any of their QB's then yes by all means hire him.
But instead of doing the logical thing. Ross decides to hire him right now. AND to make things worse. HE SIGNS HIM TO A 5-YEAR CONTRACT!.
And remind me ,wasn't Coyle the Bengals DB coach. Well guess what Vance Joseph is. The Bengals FREAKIN DB'S COACH!. WE're doing the EXACT SAME THING THAT GOT US INTO THIS MESS IN THE FIRST PLACE!. PHILBIN HAD NO PREVIOUS HC EXPERIENCE, GASE HAS NO HC EXPERIENCE. SEE THE RESEMBLANCE

I have no ties to dcafiero. Your logic just makes no sense. Coyle failed therefore Joseph will. We hired a hc with no experience before who failed therefore Gase will. No common sense in that thought process at all. You either take a chance on a smart, young, innovative coordinator who by all accounts is an extremely hard worker or you sign a failed hc like you want. Neither is a lock to succeed or fail based on another individual before then succeeding or failing. Vance Joseph has as much to do with Kevin Coyle as you do with Dan Marino.

i don't want a failed head coach. And Coyle came from Paul Guenther, the dolphins didn't like the scheme that was bought over. And guess what. Vance Joseph is under PAUL GUENTHER, the Bengals DC if you don't know who that is. Same system. So tell me, is that a recipe for disaster or not. And what makes you so sure Gase will be exactly what this franchise needs. You seem to love this guy when his team hasn't even played a snap

That's adorable.
Uh... So what? In reality the dude would be able to terminate him whenever he wanted. We aren't talking about a player here. Please stop acting like the contract $ and year numbers matter at all. They don't.
This is also the guy they wanted all year so it's better that they signed him now anyway and let him get started on his plan.So who would you hire then, Genius?
Hue wasn't coming here.
There is no proof that shanahan/coughlin would do jack s**t here.
and that leaves the rest of the coaches ........... who pretty much also have no HC experience.
Oh, i'm sorry. I thought i was debating with an adult. But it turns out it's just a fat little kid trying to be brave behind a screen. I try to debate with you,but you have nothing but insults.

Players didn't like his inability to adjust his scheme.

You have actually not 'tried to debate' one time in a single post you've made today.
I asked you a question, Try reading.
So who would you hire then, Genius?
Also :
So according to you, Peyton Manning just 'decided' to have arguably his BEST season statistically the same year Gase was promoted to his Offensive Coordinator?
I'm the one being brave behind a computer? Why are you so mad?

I did not see the question. And if we were going to hire an unproven OC as a HC. How about we try an OC that actually developed QB's from the beginning?. Not taking credit for "helping out" veterans
Also :
Yes. Peyton had his best year. But Howcome Gase couldn't do the same with Cutler after one year?. But you'll probably use the "injuries" crutchI'm the one being brave behind a computer? Why are you so mad?
I'm "mad" because i'm just trying to tell you my opinion. But if you don't agree with it,you just shoot it down, make fun of me and resort to name calling like a little child
This is exactly how the Tannehill debate started, BigNasty. Be careful, you're about to get the Gase Lover moniker, since you feel the need to dispute ridiculous arguments.
