Just got gas and it was 1.98/gal.
Hope it lasts.
It's been like that for a week or two here. I believe it's $1.89/gal right now..
soon: free gas!
Interesting, Arizona, and especially Tucson is usually one of the lowest prices in the US of A, but it is still up around 2.31 here
1.86 here and cnn is saying it could drop another 15 cents in the coming weeks but from there who knows.
Gas will go up before the Holidays start in earnest that is for sure so its just a matter of time.
Yeah, I think it just dipped to at or below $60 a barrel. Should keep going down at the pump.
i hate all of you who are paying less than $2.50 a gallon for gas.
I think it is like 2.35 or 2.40 a gal of regular unleaded here.
Been steady at $1.83-$1.89 for about 10 days now here.
I'll bet those 2.99 per gallon guaranteed car buyers are in a pissy mood right now.
Same here. We always seem to have much lower gas prices compared to the national average.
It's 1.98 near me, but it's 1.84 in Elkton right now.
Elkton as in Elkton MD?
Where do you live?
Wow, I just found out it's 1.84 over at the Sams Club station. Damn.
Its around $2.35ish down here.
$1.88 near Cleveland, though I managed to fill up for $1.28/gal.
Is your gas station stuck in 1991?
It's 2.17 (lowest i've seen) here n CT.
Lies, all lies.
I wish. I just had some money off saved up from grocery shopping at Giant Eagle.
Hate to be the rain cloud, but don't get too excited over this, guys. The price of oil will go back up. There are a bunch of reasons why, but long story short, enjoy this while it lasts.
its speculation like this that screwed everyone!!! stop it!!!
P.S. Gas is $2.08 in east orlando.
I hate all of you. I am still paying $4.06 a gallon ON BASE!!!
Write your congressmen and let them know how AAFES is ripping off your servicemen overseas.
2.09 gal here in northern califin stockton it was 1.99 gal.
I'm paying $2.37 and not complaining, after it being over $4.00 a gallon.
I give thanks today because the gas price was $4.06 a gallon yesterday (literally).
Today, the gas price on-base dropped all the way to: $2.43!
So, why I'm not as happy as you folks are, I am happy I saved over $13 today filling up my tank.
Yeah, but YOU can drive around your current country about 7 times on a single tank of gas...
$1.79 by me...$1.99 for super.
The Pony is VERY happy.
90.3 a liter by my house today....that is $3.41 a gallon. Makes me feel good since we export all of our oil to the U.S. but you all have better gas prices than us.
Crooks. We were paying over a $1.00 a liter in Vancouver while the rest of Canada was under .90. Now we are at .90 and the rest of the country is in the mid .70's, it's hilarious. Hell, we were paying a $1.20 a liter when oil was at $60 a barrel, it was a $1.50 when oil was $150+ a barrel! The gas companies are raping Canadian's.
California = 163,707 square miles
Japan = 145,840 square miles
Florida = 58,560 square miles
And I drive a Toyota Gaia that gets about 16-19 miles to the gallon.
Off-base prices have come down. They're a lot higher than Canada.
It's about 140 yen to the liter here. 140 yen = ~$1.50 now,
EDIT: I stand corrected. I looked at gas prices on the way to the mall today and it was 113 per liter on the economy.
I wonder if this like giving away drugs for free. They don't want to you to break your addiction.
$1.80-$2.09 here in south florida. the gas stations right by my house are cheaper than average, have been averaging $1.85/gal
i havent seen prices this low since i first started driving back in '04 and that was when gas first started climbing above $2
In Missouri, where theyre gas is usuall lower than the rest of us, theyre paying on average $1.45!
$1.50 here. I am so glad I never thought I would see it drop under $2.00 again.
Thats a very good point Michael.
I was reading a report on speculation why gas prices are dropping so much.
A very very large part has to do with the Supply and Demand.
Supply is up and demand, mostly due to the high prices, is way down.
Bottomline is that people have adapted and are quickly overcoming our "Addiction" to crude.
6 weeks ago Chavez and Iran wanted to jack prices way up again, OPEC has not let that happen as demand is now driving the market....
Wish I had a link to that report....
Soon the automakers won't be putting so much R&D into alternative fuel power and the oil business' future will be bright again.
Enjoy it while you can but, they're only doing it to re-insert the hooks.
Just filled up for $1.61 per Gallon, I can't remember the last time it was this low.
When I first got my license back in 2001.
