Well, as much as I dislike G Wilson, Omar is making some sense here, Rolle is more than likely off of the table, and Ireland 9 times out of 10 drafts a Db later in the draft, I suspect of his list Rolle is the most likely to be there in the 6th rd, or maybe a small college Safety like Terrel Whitehead.

Porter is no dummy, he knows if he is cut he becomes one of the prime Free Agents for the Top 8 teams from last year, but for the Dolphins the subtraction of his 5.8 million dollar salary along with clipping Ronnie Brown for 1 million bucks creates a nice pile of upfront cash for a Free Agency signing.

6.8 million is a tidy sum of money to have access to, the Bears are rumored to have alotted 25 million in cash for Free Agency signings and the rumor is much of it will land in Julius Pepper's pocket..

If the Fins front office passes on Thomas it better be for B Graham. AND they better bring in a FS, I will be pissed if we go into next season with last years secondary. Thinking that they are going to be better cause Wilson is a year into this system is moronic. Lastly, Bell is not a FS period.

And Wilson is? Wilson is a SS too, they've been playing him out of position.

I dont see this FO paying $14M to Bell to keep him around in order to "swap" spots with Wilson.

Bell has to be cut, prior to $14M being owed, and thus will only be around if we got lucky and he sits as unsigned FA...and we have zero chance that YB he going to just be sitting around as FA when its time to "swap" out Wilson.

I'm with you bud. I'm still holding out hope that all this is a smoke screen in an attempt to not tip their hand.

We could move Wilson to any position on the field and it wouldn't change the fact that he tackles like a frightened little girl.

Just based on the comments such as these....I pose this Question.

Q: If G. Wilson has to come up and tackle T. Ginn.......who wins?

    A: MLB Baseball!

Bell being cut is another reason Wilson won't be .... at least not before camp ... they won't get rid of both, only having to sign 2 more ....... doesn't make sense.

IMO it makes no sense, none at all to think we are going to be ok going into next season with Willson and Bell as our starters back there. I think either one can do a very decent job as a SS but to play either at Free is a train wreck of an idea. I really dont buy that Willsons problems last year were do to unfamiliarity with the 3-4.

I could buy the idea though that Clemmons or Culver are expected to with the FS job with Willson being moved to SS where he belongs.
