In the realm of things that can't be controlled, I don't fear TN and a Bal loss would sure be nice.

For the stuff we can control, SD losing today was a pretty big deal. We need to sweep the Jets. Pretty amazing they are 5-4 though

Yup. We definitely could. Draft Vic Beasley and trade up for Kyle Van Noy to replace Misi & Wheeler and switch to a left-right linebacker scheme so that no matter what side the TE lines up on we have a stud pass rusher freed up to blitz, and do so w/o having to shuffle players around or tip our hand. A quartet of Wake, Jordan, Beasley, and Van Noy on the field together would be pure nastiness. We'd have 4 great pass rushers who are all 3 down players.

Than number is because the jets t/o ratio is -12 and teams have been giving a lotta short fields, jets total d is 6th we are 22nd plus our offense is better so we are holding the ball longer not allowing teams to completely blowing us out...

 

I was thinking more along the lines of going back to a 3-4 where you have Wake and Jordan at OLB. I still think you can use Jared Odrick as a 3-technique as more and more 3-4 defenses are using over/under/exaggerated fronts. But I certainly wouldn't be opposed to drafting either Beasley or Van Noy.

Would have been interesting to see NOLA come to us instead of the other way around. They definitely look more beatable on the road. Nice to see the Chiefs knock the Bills down a peg, they are fiesty despite that heinous QB situation. Has a schedule ever fallen into a better place than KC so far? Dear god those breaks.

Hey, my team is equally as ugly this week with Stafford, Bush, Julius Thomas, Cobb, and Harvin on the bench and with Sproles getting concussed to the start the Jets game. I think that hurt New Orleans today BTW. I got 9 points between Sproles, Ginn, Helu, and Drew Davis.

You could very well pull off a win and be 5-4 in the playoff hunt.

yeah I agree on Odrick being pretty much the same player in a pressuring 1-gap 3-4.

Beasley & Van Noy are athletic and skilled enough to be more than just 3-4 OLBs. I think they have the ability to become legitimate 4-3 LBs like Von Miller & Bruce Irvin are. Did you see Irvin running with Jared Cook last week on his INT? Beasley spent a year at OLB and a year at TE, so he and Van Noy could similarly perform those 4-3 duties IMO, except they can pass rush like a 3-4 rush LB. I wouldn't mind switching to a 3-4, but I would love to see a 4-3 that features 4 awesome three-down pass rushers on the field together.

 

Me too. I got 425 yards & 7 TDs from Stacy, Alfred Morris, Jimmy Graham, and Chiefs D alone... 127 points.. with Eddie Lacy still to go. That's probably enough to win w/o starting my QB, all 3 WR, and kicker.
