How do you guys think the people that bought a car to get the guarantied price of $2.99 a Gal. now that prices have dropped? Here they are around $2.20 a Gal. Just a funny thing that came up here, I had to laugh about it because I was pissed I could get the deal at the time. Did anyone here get that deal?
i would hope the only people that did that lived in high price areas. here in LA its still over 3 so it'd be worth it. funny side note: went to SF last weekend to see the eagles niners game, and on the way home most of the gas stations were running at around 3.40/3.50 or so. we realize we're low on gas so we pull off an exit to fill up, and its one of those exits with 1 gas station, an in-n-out and maybe a shoe repair shop or something. either way, the gas station was at 4.60! out of the blue! we had to say F this, put a gallon or 2 in the tank to get us to the next stop, which had 3.40 again. Literally, highway robbery. but i suppose they only need 1 out of every so many cars who get off the highway to actually stay and fill up to make it worth it. If more than half of people are too lazy to take a stand and go to the next stop, they make a big profit.
Alot of those people probably don't even look at the price. They just presume it's the same as the one down the street.
Where in the world is it $2.20 a gallon? Out here in Northern California it is still $3.50 at most locations.
I noticed in Stockton off of Charter Way is was around there. But here in the Bay Area...ooooof. Hopefully with oil dropping even further today on the market, we will continue to see prices dip. At least until next month.
Finally down to 1.06 a litre hear which is 4.24 a gallon We are taxed like crazy in Canada for booze, smokes and gasoline (sin-taxes)
$4.06 on base here. The price hasn't changed in over a month. The DESC is really screwing the military folks in the Pacific right now. Write your congressman.
