Funny but at the same time sad...According to MiamiDolphins.com, Randy Starks (A DT) leads our team with 1 INT and is tied with Bell (2), Allen (2), Goodman (2), with 2 passes defensed.. Maybe we should convert him to corner
The INTs.....one area where we really need drastic improvement in production. We've got 11 sacks to our credit. We're allowing only 3.3 ypc and 83 ypg on the ground. We've taken care of the ball on offense with 1 INT and 1 lost fumble. But....we need some INTs. Will Allen; as good a cover corner as he is, has feet for hands. Maybe we'll see this trend change on Sunday. One can only hope, right?
On the other hand it could be said that Porter is on pace to finish with 20+ sacks. That's not so bad.
Forcing turnovers on D is definately a weak link of ours. We need to fix that. Imagine how much more it would have helped us in the jets game... how much more we coulda beaten the pats by... and if we could have forced a turnover and two, how much easier it would have been to beat the chargers. These guys got to start taking the ball away.
Another "funny" stat.... Last time we had a 100 yard receiver was week 15 of last year. It was Mr. Camarillo finishing with 109 yards. Of course 64 of those yards came on the catch that saved our season. I'm hoping this streak is broken today.
