Part of my 'Daniel Downer' article tonight. Figured I'd pass it along. http://www.thephins.com/2009/10/06/daniel-downer-chinks-in-the-bills-game-armor/
I've been complaining lately about the same thing, that I think there is something wrong maybe with our receiver coaching ...
been watching the oline of the jets. on paper they're good but they're not playing up to the hype. they're not bad but thats a long way from being good. Not opening huge holes in the run game and giving up sacks. about the only thing i would disagree with. Otherwise spot on
Beyond working with Hankerson, Dupe has never coached beyond the little league level. I don't know if the Dolphins would let him help, but I get the feeling he'd like to. He was little more than a sprinter when he got in the league. And he made himself into one of the league's best. That said, we've already got Terry Glenn in that role. I guess it's not having much effect?
Thanks. I haven't gotten to watch the Saints game yet (planning on that for tonight). But up until the second quarter of the Titans game, I was really impressed with their pass blocking. We always seem to struggle against the Jets in this regard for whatever reason. They're still 9th overall in the running game. But you're right, they haven't been nearly as good at it this year. Last year they were outstanding. All it takes is one game though. Same group as last year.
