Link This absolutely prove what some of us have been saying, and that's he doesn't get it. The only remorse he has is for what happened to him and not his actions. He thinks he's the victim.
Who cares? I just like watching him play football. Whats done is done. Hes making millions, and smiling to the bank. What can we do? Im not gunna stress over it.
What I quoted was Vick's own words. Any slant the article has, has nothing to do with the words that came out of his mouth.
I guess you do, since not only did you read the title of thread, you decided to open the thread and then post in the thread. It must be nice to have no moral conflict. Nothing is above football.
Whatever motherf$@*er!!! EDIT: This is from the movie Slammin Salmon, and he uses that line about excuses. Funny movie if you haven't seen it I recommend it. Fist pump this post if you have seen it. lol
Vick served his time in prison. I don't think he needs to show remorse. Now crossing the line and painting himself the victim. That is being pretty self important but hell he is a million dollar QB in the NFL.
I cared enough to say what i said....because I feel you, and others on here havent stopped whinning about Vick since he signed back in the NFL and it's tiresome. What can we do? I honestly imagine you throwing things in your trailer in Ocala, cussing to the clouds, with a Ray Finkle type room in your basement, with arrows in Vick posters, and fatheads...because he is such a jerrrrkkkkkkk Calm down bro. It happened. It sucks what happened to the dogs. It sucks that a murderous, torturous, disgusting human can get away with what he did with a slap on the wrist and continue to be a millionaire, and live the high life. But its life. Its not justice. But its life. I care more about the pedophiles that are arrested over and over again, still being released onto the streets, still living in neighborhoods with kids living next door, and still being able to go to Disney world water parks to feel up little kids. Thats disturbing, that bugs me more. It's not about "its only about football" It's about, not getting stressed over the thing's I can't control.
Michael Jackson was a kid toucher and he walked free and everyone praised the useless hack. That pisses me off more than Michael Vick.
You said: Based on the explanation you gave after that, essentially you're saying: He did horrible things, but we can't change it, so who cares, I just like watching him play football. That is absolutely embracing him.
I am, he made me 500 bucks in fantasy football last year as he was my QB.....and the best part is I didnt draft him, and got him on waivers!! Here here Michael Vick!!!!
I like watching him play football. He has energy, hes fast, hes unique. It's a fact, that I enjoy watching him play football. I am not going to say "oh he did bad things, so thats not fun to watch anymore" I'd still ENJOY a BJ from a chick if she was a murderer. It'd be ****ed up what she did, but physically, her mouth would feel the same.
To be fair, it was never proven. If it was I'd be with you. Woody Allen and Roman Polanski can effing die. I refuse to watch their work.
Yes it does. Because his words were taken from a question specifically asking about people coming after him and exploiting him and another about people not understanding where dog fighting came from. Both questions he answered and then are put in an article to make it seem like he wants people to feel sorry for him and be the victim. In the end, I could care less if he is remorseful for the dogs to be honest. Most likely he is not. If he felt that way about dogs to begin with to torture and kill them, I doubt prison time is going to make him feel sorry for them now. What I do care about is he setting a better example for kids and working with different organizations and speaking out against dog fighting, and never doing it again. If a guy punches a female in the face, goes to prison for a year. I dont think being around a bunch of goons in prison is going to make him sorry for the female, however if he doesn't do it again then hes fine.
Where I grew up, dog fighting is pretty big. People make a lot of money betting on dog fights. It's prevalent in some black communities. Is it wrong, yes-so is **** fighting. People like betting on animals fighting. Vick probably came from one of those neighborhoods and grew up with it. I'm not making excuses for the guy, but he paid his price for it, let it go.
The issue for me isn't the dog fighting itself. I truly do understand how that is cultural. The issue is the torture and killing of the dogs that happened outside the ring. That is a whole other level. It is borderline "the making of a serial killer stuff" and it is caused by issues outside of the dog fighting culture. To get rid of a dog that he deemed unworthy, he came up with new and cruel ways to get rid of the dog. Putting a bullet in its head would be quick, efficient, painless and inexpensive. Instead of that, he drowned or electrocuted them etc. and came up with new ways all the time. That means he got enjoyment out of the suffering and torture. You guys have to see that. That is why it is vital for him to show remorse, for those actions, because without the remorse it proves he's still a sociopath.
She might have been when they married, but what about before? He was her adoptive father, and he must have desired her before she was of age and in all likelihood acted on it.
Come on Fin D the guy did NOT embrace it! What your problem man? I thought your standards were much higher! He can't show something he does not have in his heart ,,, he is a sociopath and more than likely always will be. If he were capable of what you desire he would not have done what he did the way he did it in the first place and all the rest of this mike vick bs is just that. Hes a loser and I for one don't watch him, I have no desire to be in the same room, city, state or county that he is in, sadly, I don't have the means to move to the Moon so I except that which I can't change. BTW life has a way of leveling out things, case in point OJ, what goes around always comes around!
Sure he did. He embraces Vick. He can't change what Vick did, so screw it, he's fun to watch play football. I can't change what Vick did, but that doesn't mean his punishment was equal to his crimes and the reasons behind them, so I refuse to watch him play (even if he was Dolphin) because my standards are high. Watching Vick, while feeling the way I do would prove my standards to be low.
My grandfather used to trap animals that used to eat his garden, and took great pleasure throwing the cage in a garbage barrel full of water drowning them......
I love watching Henne yet think hes no good but its a game. Does that make my standards low? I love watching Ginn on returns and John Beck play too, so I'm warped. I too will not watch Vick play this game but am not about to judge another's right or wrongness in what they do or not do concerning Vick for fear of becoming that which I detest!
