I take issue with the first sentence there:

"The Dolphins have drafted extremely well over the last 3 seasons and have quietly assembled a very talented team"

Really? 2013 in no way can be considered a good draft. Jenkins is the only guy that looks good and he was a 4th rounder.

not bad. adding some video to these previews would take them to the next level. I like how you judged more than just the starters but got into the depth of the team. Also one of the few previews that gave us any credit for Jordan Cameron, not just criticism for letting Clay walk. IMO, if Jordan is healthy, he's >>> Clay.

...and the moves we did make at LB that weren't mentioned that made us significantly better was getting rid of Ellerbe and Wheeler and their big contracts and bringing in hungry, young rookies to take their place

Thanks Gang! The NFL tends to get real possessive w/use of highlight clips. They'll flag your videos real quick and force you to take them down. That's why I only use the all-22 video when I do game previews. They don't have a problem with that...which is weird

Emdiggy, the hardest working man in show business..you have def improved your craft over the past few years..looking more and more you might get your shot one day if you keep evolving and taking chances.

I believe you summed up our qb and the situation to a tee..especially the part on having him move and run more..

I don't agree with you on lynch being similar to Jordan Cameron, they are on opposite ends of the stratosphere athletically.

Your intrigue on Luc interests me, can you expand your thoughts about him.?

And you think this kid from Maine wins the returner job eh, well, it is wide open..

Thanks man! I appreciate that. Luc is your classic Mike thumper...not real fast or athletic, but he always 'gets there' and gets there in a bad mood. He's one of those LBs that looks to hit, which I like. So he'll do a good job of taking on blockers to get to the ball carrier. But again, athletically he's not impressive, but somehow the job gets done.

Jamar Taylor is still in the process, will be the starter and I think could be a fine player, Dion sims is our #2 tight end, that's not a joke in this league, and Jenkins could be a star if he takes another step up..Thomas provides some depth..we def blew it on Jordan ( me as well) making the overall Sub par grade, but there are three players and a kicker that are still in play to be good players..

I'm gonna go out on a limb and disagree with you and every other pundit I've come across when it comes to Lucs athleticism, and I think it has something to do with his frame and how much muscle is on it, he is one thick specimen, almost perfectly built for the position, has long arms with a powerful lower body..to be that thick and be a high 4.5 guy is very impressive, I've seen him track and open his hips up and catch his prey, sideline to sideline, it's almost as if he saves it for when he needs it, and when he wants it's an impressive thing to see, idk, I just know that I saw movement skills at the senior bowl and on tape that weren't just the downhill thumper style.p, they were real flashes of agility and I could show you the posts, but I was like whoa, this luc dude is moving around well..

It's all moot if he doesn't have the instincts, but he's def one of the most interesting prospects to watch even though he wasn't drafted because I think there is some hidden stuff that folks are missing..

I can give you Sims at most, but not Taylor until he proves something. Jenkins is the only really good player from that draft so far (Sims is average). The others so far are either below average or don't seem like they'll contribute much. Yeah, sub par is correct.

Every player besides Jordan is still on the roster, it's year three, the grade could go up from where your putting it..

Let's say Taylor does meet expectations, let's say sims solidifies himself as a solid #2 tight end, and the kicker rebounds, and Jenkins moves up, it then becomes a decent draft.

I agree, but it could go the other way too. Not that I'm hoping so! Just saying what it looks like as of now.

I'd say it looks like the players were talking about have been working hard on the craft, have good attitudes and are healthy, so I'll say it goes to decent..

Hope you're right dude! The two I'm rooting for most are Taylor and Sturgis. Sims I think doesn't have much of a ceiling, so "solid" is what we can expect from him. Taylor could be good and that's at CB where we're thin, so it would be real important for this team if he can make it. Sturgis? He has the tools.. what exactly is it with him? Gotta be mental, but I'm sick and tired of kickers losing games for us. If they can't hit a 50+ OK, but 40-50 you gotta make in today's NFL.

lol, ireland left us with the ultimate slap, a former kicker missing on a evaluation of the present kicker and the future kicker..the transition from carpenter to sturgis was a double loss.

Maybe Hickey needs to draft a kicker. He seems to be on fire lately with his drafting. He may get us a dominant kicker.
