Good Afternoon Dolphins Fans!! Here's Version 4 of my Mock Draft, this one is a 3 Rounder! Enjoy! Em
No disrespect but this is one of the worst mocks I've ever seen. No way the Panthers go Newton and no way the Bills go DT...
None taken.. just your opinion. My mocks are based off MY view of the team if I were the GM.. Not like the zillions of other mocks on the net that is just copy/paste with recycled "logic"... I actually use reason behind the picks which makes the most sense....to me
But thats the thing you can make a "mock draft" with your opinions about what you would do if you were the GM. A "mock draft" is supposed to predict which player the team drafts, not what you would do if you were the GM. The Bills for instance spent a 2nd round pick on DT Torrell Troup from UCF last year and have Kyle Williams at DT that has been tearing it up recently. They even released Stroud because they felt confident in with their current DTs. I highly doubt they draft a DT.
I appreciate the effort put into this as I have been known to do a few myself. The video is very well done and obviously took some time to do. Good job and good luck.
And who wrote the rules on How to do a Mock Draft? As a matter of fact, if more GMs did a team specific Mock Draft based off need..there wouldn't be as many bad teams in this league
crazier things has happened. Last season they had two runningbacks that people thought were starting calibar, with one being close to probowl calibar. They drafted a runningback.
Not a bad mock ED, but taking Mallet at #15 would be a bit of a reach IMHO (sorry Hurricane). Based on how you did it ED, and assuming no trade back in the first for the Phins, I'd much rather see us take Ingram at #15, then BPA with an emphasis on offensive skill positions in the third. Dalton and Cobbs stand out in the third for me.
I'd rather us "reach" for Mallet than spend a first round pick on a RB. IMHO, a RB, even a very good one, will not have a high impact on the success or failure of a team given how prominent the passing game is in today's NFL. Mallet would be high risk / high reward pick but I'd rather see us take a chance in the 1st round then to keep making the safe pick. Continuing to make the safe pick will only bring further mediocrity.
Nice work on the video mock. Am I blind or did I not see Gabbert in there anywhere? Glad to see someone else likes Camrini. Also as a Fins fan in we got Leshoure in the 3rd I would be doing cartwheels.
A QB w/ a big arm, questionable athleticism and leadership skills & slow feet? Hmmm. Sounds familiar.
Honestly I don't really care if it's Mallet or not. I'd just rather us take a non-RB player with that first round pick. If our FO has no confidence in Henne and thinks an available QB at 15 could be the guy, I'd hope that would be the pick. Otherwise, if they do have confidence in Henne, I'd still argue against a RB. Another WR, O-line help, any type of speed on offense I think would make a larger impact. More RBs available in later rounds that would be able to have the same type of overall impact as Ingram would. I just don't think in today's NFL a RB can change the fortunes of a team the way the Payton's, Sanders, E. Smith's, etc. of the past could. Even the best RBs of the past few years, A.P. and Chris Johnson haven't been able to get their teams in the playoffs without consistent QB play.
