"This is the time my future will be made or broken," Wake said. "You're not playing (games), but being stronger makes you a better linebacker, being faster makes you a better linebacker, knowing the defense better makes you a better linebacker. There's so much you can do in the off-season."
Asked if he felt he could be ready for a starting role by September, Wake said, "I'm going to be that guy. In my gut I feel like I can do it."

If anything Quentin Moses has his best shot at a starting job he's ever had right now, probably at WOLB.

That is what we need to count on. More than rookies.

agreed although linebackers tend to have a short learning curve in comparison to WRs or TEs or DBs. We draft some linebackers and they should be more NFL ready than our rookies were this past year

Ideally you'll get two rookies who start out of the draft. Free agency will play a major part in the growth process as will giving youth players chances to supplant veterans that were completely subpar given their number of snaps like Joey Porter, Akin Ayodele, and Channing Crowder.

We better have a lot of players that can improve their performance next year , we will need them to do that in our division.

Certainly I would say we should be counting on marked improvement from Henne , Wake , Davis , Hartline , and to lesser extent Smith and Clemons.

All pieces to the puzzle that is bottom line win / loss improvement.

Realistically I would say Miami needs two of these players to drastically perform better than they did this year , seeing that the Jets are not going away and are not going to drop off from how they are currently playing , though it pains me to admit that.

NE with Brady , Bellicheat and a plethora of draft picks et all is still 50/50 for 10 wins , so we better get better.

in general, a legitimate appraisal of the five chosen

    having said that

first thing comes to mind is Brian Hartline
obvious to anyone who follows football
the guy is destined to be a PlayMaker @ WR
he brings to the field the total package plus the X-factor
in his first year after achiving major strides in development
& many play making contributions in his rookie year
he @ least merits a read & a comment on his future

Smith & Clements deserved a heads up & word or two
