Kind of surprised to see Ware there. He's still fairly young. I expected this to be an all veterans list.
Zach I would like to see too. Those two were the dolphins essentially for a decade. I disagree with this pick. I don't care too much for Steve Smith. Not a diva? This writer maybe only thinks that because of Smith's 'mad at the world' kind of attitude. Remember him and Chad Johnson were competing for better TD celebrations for a couple of years (they went to Juco together). He only stopped because his kid started doing them in pop warner or something. Remember when he torched us for 3 TDs and did his little pose in the end zone? Reminded me of a scene from Seinfeld especially since we won the game:
I'd rather see Zach get one over Taylor if they were both on different teams. But since Taylor is currently a Dolphin, I guess I hope he gets one first!
Ware is too young, Smith is a diva, doesn't rank up there on my list. Zach is the one I really want to win a SB ring. JT just needs to play 3 more years here and he'll get one.
Yeah was surprised to see Ware up there, hes way to young atm. I dont mind the Smith pick as much as some. Hes not quite so off the field diva-ish as guys like Moss/CJ/Owens, and he is a helluva player. I did find Zachs absence noticeable, though maybe they just didnt want to give one each to 2 phins (former or present)? Thats about the only reason I can think of. Hard to think of anyone off the top of my head tbh, certainly no names like Dan the Man, Jim Kelley etc etc. Thinking hard all I can maybe come up with are Donovan McNabb and/or Brian Westbrook, though Im sure Im missing a few.
Pretty surprising in my opinion to see DeMarcus Ware and Steve Smith on there and not Zach Thomas. I would much rather see Zach get a ring than either of those two guys.
I think every team that hasn't won a SB recently has a favorite they wish would win one. Mine, like many of you is Zach. He has done so much to be successful in the NFL. He deserves it. I wish he hadn't went to Dallas.
He has a much better chance there than here though Sad to see careers like his, JTs, Madison/Surtain etc wasted under guys like Wanny and Saban and Cam. Wanny mostly, he just sucked the soul out of the team.
