First, let me say that this Mock only includes Seniors, as it is impossible to tell which Juniors will come out. I know some players are better bets than others, but Colt McCoy chose to come back for his final season when everyone expected him to stay. Therefore I don't get into that type of speculation. So, anyways, here goes. http://universaldraft.com/2010_Mock_Draft_GWCP.html
The one that probably stands out to me most is Greg Hardy to Seattle. Tim Ruskell is still in charge there and he places a premium on character after he learned from Rich McKay for years and worked together with him in Tampa as well as Atlanta I believe. Honestly, the way their grading system works out, I'm not sure that Hardy will manage a 'C' on their character evaluation.
Yeah, thought of that, but then again sometimes talent wins out in those situations. I may have some time to change a pick or two though.
BTW Conu, this cycle, the "small college" with a couple of NFL prospects is UMass... http://draftdaddy.com/features/test.htm And Jerry Hughes...come on mannnn...we need a NT.
Agree with you, however, in Seattle, from what I understand, it doesn't. If you don't have at least a CC grade, your not on their BB. James Ruffin, Northern Iowa. I think he's going to fall into the category of crap forty time but quick off the edge (ala Larry English) when the combine rolls around.
Con, you crazy bastard, I missed you. If the Jets are in the Top 10 next year, oy, take me off the meds and let me do something stupid to Mark Sanchez!
Great job. However, one mistake: Denver doesn't have a 1st round pick in 2010. They traded it to Seattle (for Seattle's 2009 37th pick overall). So, in your mock, Seattle will pick #7 and #9.
From what I have, Seattle has two picks. One id from Carolina that moved up into the early second IIRC. I may have messed up in this regard: Did Chicago trade both 1st's for Cutler? If so then I have to move the pick down a bit I think. Or am I just confused with all of the damn trades that went down this year. Found it, I got Carolina's trade with SF confused with this pick.
O.K. Denver does have a pick, from Chicago. The rest is right; Sea got Denver's first, that's why they have 2, and SF got Carolina's first rounder.
i think colt mccoy will fall off a bit this year. also would be surprised if a TE is drafted thqat high. Good prospect but TEs generally fall into the teens if not later. nice job ocverall. cant wait to see the 74 revisions you'll have before the actual draft lol
If Ronnie Brown doesnt produce maybe Le Garrette Blount fom Oregon. I dont think Miami will be picking 19th somwhere in the late 20s maybe
Conu, have you retained the 2009 player evaluations? For background on a player they were very very useful.
I have them, yes. They aren't visible in the current format of the site,...........but I have a sneaky suspicion that may change soon. Just give me some time.......I have my son with me all summer, so it has made the process slow down a bit until camp starts and he goes there a couple of days a week. Who were you looking for?
No one in particular Conu, it's just as the preseason starts rolling and Ireland and others churn the roster, those players will be appearing in the NFL and the analysis is a good resource to look back at and compare.
