It wasn't Henning that dropped a ball in the endzone after it hit him in his hands. So if Miami drew up a play that gave them a chance to win, but that plan wasn't executed due to lack of concentration how is that Hennings fault ?
we might not have been in that situation had we not ran twice on 3rd down and long and settled for long fieldgoals off of baseball clay.....that is what has me so confused.
At that point, you need to move the ball down the field irrespective of down. So you throw the ball down field. The worst that happens (aside from an interception, of course) is an incompletion, which stops the clock and gives you time to draw up a play that will get the first down without grinding clock. As it was, the sneak wastes time with very little yardage gained.
You know Sick... you sounded so sweet and innocent on the radio the other day but yet when you come in here and post it's like you turn into this this this THING!
The fact they won a Super Bowl has absolutely NOTHING to do with winning this game. You said that we play sound defense, you win games. The Colts did not and they won the game. Now maybe over time and in the playoffs that is the case, but it is not the end all be all to winning regular season games. I like your technicalities and tries at rationalization though.
A FG drive they shouldn't even have had if we woulda went for it on 4th and 1. I mean with how we were dominating the line of scrimmage, it would have been an easy yard. Could have been 7 points for us instead of 3, and 0 points for them. Nice 7 point swing that could have been the game, since we would have had even more momentum going into halftime.
