Finally, a fourth quarter to remember for Miami Dolphins' defense http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/football/story/1369151.html
Not so much one to remember for me. Sure Vontae made a great interception, but they did allow them to get all the way down there in position to score. And if it wasn't for the great play by Vontae, we'd be in a very different situation today. That said, I think the defense played better in the 4th quarter -- not giving up any points in the 4th qtr to a team as explosive as NE is quite a feat. But I don't think it's quite what we're capable of yet.
A nice win. I was watching Sportscenter and they were applauding Crowder for his awareness and ball hawking skills on the interception. I was watching Crowder the entire game because I was wanting to see if he was as bad as I thought. Maybe I was wrong about him I was thinking. As the game played out, I couldn't be more pissed at him. He was never in a play and gave up as soon as anyone touched him. One one series, a lineman ran up to him and touched him on the arm. Crowder just stoped and never chased the RB after that. He gave up. He is as soft as Ginn. Maybe more so. As for the pick, he was just standing there "watching" the teams play football and the ball came right to him. Noticed how he instantly went to the ground. I think his first thought was not to get hit. It just so happened to be the smart play.
Not only to remember , but something to build their confidence on. Were going to need more 4th quarters like that in the remaning games and now they know they can do it, against one of the best pass offenses in the NFL.
