http://www.draftinsider.net/blog/?p=4492 Hmm interesting Von Miller would be right in our wheelhouse if he runs a 4.5.
I'm not sure Von Miller would be the ideal pick at #15. I'd think he'd be a part-time player for Miami, for now, given the production of Wake and Misi. I really don't see Miller on the strong side. I hope Ireland learned from the last part-time player Miami selected early.
I think Miller could play inside (so I don't know that I agree with the part-time label), but I don't know that that'd be the best place to use him. With that said, I find it very unlikely he'll even be on the board at #15 still. I personally like Ayers more from what I've seen also.
Well one of the things no one is commenting upon is Wake got his sacks over the Right Tackle, if Miller were drafted as a passrushing compliment to him, we could flop them on passing downs and give an offense fits as they could not double both of them. What was really interesting to me is Mike Leshoure is carrying a 4th-7th rd grade, he could be the guy we need at Running Back, and Clay dropping 25 pds makes him far more interesting to me at least.
Which goes right back to the part-time thing. I wouldn't want to draft a 3rd down specialist with the 15th pick of the draft. Not saying Miller won't be as effective, but that's not a good value pick at all. Smells of Pat White Part II. Just curious, but where did you see LeShoure carrying a 4th - 7th round grade? I've seen him as early as the late 1st. As for Clay - gotta check out the glass ankles before anything else.
There's no chance LeShoure goes in rounds four through seven unless he has character issues that the public is not aware of.
Clay also apparently has character issues, and folks in Wisconsin are saying that had he returned, he wouldn't have started as a senior.
Intersting thing about Clay and Leshoure, the teams ahead of us, save for maybe the Broncos, really do not need running backs, just offhand I'd say Cinci and Denver and Washington are running back needy teams otherwise pretty much the other 12 teams ahead of us are in good places with their running backs. We should be able to get a steal at running back this yr..imho.
It is in the story, and Wake could easily play the Sam and Miller the Will with Misi playing a sort of Adalius Thomas role for us as he is much better in coverage than people gave him credit for coming out last yr. Wake/Miller/Mis would be one heck of a flexible linebacking corps.
Regardless of the draft or free agency Miami better get someone who can rush the QB because if and when Wake gets injured we are going to be in some deep do-do
I honestly don't think there's a very good chance of Miller even being there for the Dolphins. I don't think he's what they need at this point anyway, but his play combined with his Senior Bowl week should put him in the top 10 unless there's a run on QBs and even then he might not get there. If he somehow did then the Dolphins need to move down because there will certainly be teams looking to move up for him.
