Final Fantasy I & II Coming to iPhone/iPod Touch

    Well, if they can rehash the tower defense genre with a Crystal Chronicles game, they can rehash Final Fantasy I and II ports as well. Looks like a straight port of the PSP versions. From Kotaku:

    Personally, I'd prefer Square-Enix remake Final Fantasy III (not VI) or V in the PSP's art style and release that. Or better still, Dragon Quest VI. Oh well, eye candy:

    DRagon Quest or Chrono Trigger would be nice.

    I'm not sure how well Chrono Trigger would translate to the iPhone's touch controls. CT requires some pretty precise movement at times.

    Game's available on the App Store now. iLounge has a review, and they score it a B (translates to about an 8.5/10), but it's written for those who've never even heard of Final Fantasy before. Example

    Anyway, slightly more practical comments about saving and the touch controls:

    $9 gets you the full bundle. Honestly, it's worth it.

    I just played through FF1 this week on JNES. some people have that book that they reread once a year.. i have FF1. god i love that game
