    What do you guys think of Stanford -6 (vs. Notre Dame)?

    Am I missing something? Luck should rip them apart.

    I was also tempted to take Arkansas at -8..but that damn Nick Saban..I know is going to come back to bite me...got cold feet...didn't bet it.

    But Stanford......hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....

    what do you think?

    I really like the Stanford bet. I took them, NC St.+8.5, South Carolina +3 in a 3 team parley. Then bet them all straight up. Also took AF -14 today straight up

    Okay...OFF the Stanford Bet...(friend of mine LOVES ND in this spot...) (trend bet)

    So I took a prop...

    First score of the game (Stanford vs. Notre Dame) to be anything other than a touchdown....+220

    and I made a small bet on Arkansas at +8 vs. Alabama. (BETUS just moved it to +8)

    Don't give into emotion when putting money on the line. A little word of advice.

    The line is 8-5 on the Heat winning it all. You beat those odds and I 'll take it.

    If not, what is the point of betting with somebody that has 36 posts, and that I don't know, and that will surely NEVER pay me if I win?

    SO yeah, you want to make a dumb bet, I will take it.

    (Hint...you can bet the Lakers, Boston, and Orlando and beat whatever you can make off me....genius.)

    so I'm going with combo bets and teasers...

    Teaser Special (7 points):
    NO +3.5 (I'll be stunned if they lose at home by more than 3)
    Balt -5.5 (Ravens with a must win against a hapless team)
    Tenn/NYG Ov 36.5 (should be points scored in this one)
    KC+10 (this is the line I just don't understand, the 49ers coming off the Monday night loss, 0-2, AT KC!, very hard place to win on the road and they are favorites? Now, I bet this without knowing the injury list.... Cassell probably out right?)
    Betting $20 to win $56

    In the afternoon special...
    SD -4 (this is a hard one, not really comfortable with this, but Seattle just isn't good and the Chargers should win, do they win by more than 3? eeeek)
    Wash -5 (on the road against the Rams...another should win, do they beat the spread? eeek)
    $10 to win $35

    The Moneyline Madness (all bets straight up):
    DEN to beat Colts in Denver... it's madness
    JAX to beat Eagles in Jacksonville... it's madness
    DALL to beat Texans in Houston... logical, actually
    $5 to win $78...

    I call these fun bets... I don't put down large cash... although I do have a fair amount on Mia tonight -1.5...

    well, i got the teaser bet, so now the rest is gravy... had to wait for the Saints Falcons final... close one, especially when Ryan missed a wide open Douglas for the td in OT....Ravens... knew they'd win, by how much was the question... barely covered the 5.5 teaser... Giants and Titans scared me to death...

    Rams way up on the Skins but it's early..

    It was a push of a weekend for me.....Started off well on Saturday, bet Maryland and won....then I did the Longhorns...:pity:

    made it all back on the Ariz/Oak over that I loved....

    was going to bet the game last night but couldnt get to a computer in time...thank the Lord...

    Those Dolphins blew my winnings from the Thursday game. No emotion...I had a real opinion on it. I thought the fins were a damn good bet this week.

    Oh well...Saturday saved the week.

    nah..just lost the winnings from Thursday.

    So my 2-0 Saturday made for an okay week instead of a spectacular one.

    I rarely get confused by results. I usually know why teams win or lose, and why I lost a bet. I am still confused by that game last night.

    Jets/Dolphins games are just plain weird.

    Went backwards yesterday. Didn't lose any money since I doubled up on Philly. Mike Vick is money right now. So glad I didn't roll it all into Miami, I thought about it but just left my original bet alone.

    Mike Vick has a tough draw this week....I have benefitted from him the past 2 weeks as well (fantasy football), however they were against crappy teams too...

    I love #5......think about it, instead of betting an over/under for a 4qtr game at -105/110, you could follow the first half, get the vibe, and get the same odds for the second half....not bulletproof, but an actual better option sometimes...


    5. Thou Shall Not Be Rigid In Thy Gambling

    We all know him: the guy who bets only favorites, only dogs, only home teams, only televised games. The approach is limiting. Instead, try to be open to any kind of situation that offers an edge. Bet first and second halves. If you like the two teams' offenses and can bet that the score will total more than 19½ in the first half, that's obviously better than betting it will go over 40 in the game.

    here is who I like for Sunday...NFL

    St. Louis +1 at home against Seattle
    Indy -7 on the road against Jax
    Arizona +8 at SD (I'm shaky on this one though)
    Chicago +4 against the GGGGGGGGGGGGGGG-Men in NY...errrr NJ.....(this is my fav I think)

    I also love.....

    STL/SEA over 39.5....allday baby!!! :up: I called you guys an over last week....dont sleep!!! Bradford is going to throw darts..
