I agree...i like gears but it isn't even close to the level FF is at. Maybe 360 getting exclusive rights for Zelda?
If Lost Odyssey was 4, I'd imagine that FF would be at least that much. Square is known to be video whores.

I guess this further supports the idea that SE is doing the cross-platform thing to make money which also suggests that the days of third party exclusives on a single console could be coming to an end. Which I could also see triggering Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft to start trying to buy these third party companies to get their games as exclusives ie Microsoft buying Bungie. Also won't this make Microsoft even more profit now (although I doubt the PC sales will come close to the console versions but this could be the extra boost to Microsoft to make sure they sell more FFXIII copies than Sony).
They used FMV only because the 3D of the time wasn't very good for cinematic presentation. Since FFX, their stuff has been nearly all in-game. Anyway, the disc count for FF13 on 360... I'm going with at least 3. But it doesn't matter to me, as I'll buy the PS3 version.
I've yet to hear anyone on hear except Enforcer to say they are buying the 360 version of this game. Maybe Sony won't be majorly screwed over by this move after all.
I will be getting it on the 360, dont have a PS3, dont really want one atm. Im very happy with my console, was prepared to live without FF13, and was quite excited to hear it was coming over.
Doubtful. Despite the popularity of saying "I'm not getting Console X unless and until Game Y comes out for it," almost no one ever buys a console for just one game.
The new consoles are still a lot of money. There are plenty of people who are looking for the one game that justifies the purchase. Yes there are a lot of good games this person would like to buy, however there is just that one game that comes out that makes it so she/he will finally cave and get one. GTA is a game of that nature, MG4 is a game of that nature and FF is a game of that nature. For me, the game was Madden.
