He didn't want any part of that in Green Bay, but than again he retired didn't he? If he knows his shot at the starting QB in Green Bay is over he might be willing to go to a new team understanding its 2 years and he might be willing to teach a rookie he's not threatened by.. (not that Rodgers was a threat but he was promised something) as for the Jets or any other AFC team unless we get him (we wont) than I do not want this to happen. Nothing good can come from it for us.. Let everyone struggle as well..
I dont think its a matter of him wanting to...I dont think he can. Favre doesn't strike me as the kind of QB that can coach or mentor. He is an instinct player, he doesnt really read defenses as well as for example, Manning. He is a gun slinger, you cant really coach a guy to have a strong arm.
No but you can lead by example. Im sure a rookie Qb without Brett ever talking to him can learn from him no? I mean sitting there watching him play seeing and working on breaking down tapes with the QB's in class even teaches you what he's looking at etc... he does not have to invite him over for dinner and spend the weekends camping with him to learn from him...
