Ajayi would be a pretty great pick at 12. He went around 14-16 in my 10-teamer. Howard I am lukewarm on, that team looks rough but their Offensive Line is strong. I am a fan of Melvin Gordon, not sure he'd be there at your pick though. I'm so glad I did my draft last weekend. Kareem Hunt fell to the 9th round, Devante Parker to the 9th as well. A lot of talent fell late. Keep an eye on Chris Hogan, I think he serves to benefit the most with Edelman being out. Thanks for the advice earlier in the thread by the way.
But 3rd string Charcandrick and his 2.89 YPC over the final 10 games has somehow proven to be a threat? If West were a threat, then Hunt would've never been drafted to begin with. I believe endurance absolutely does matter. Ty has carried more than 10x just once in his college and pro career, and then Green Bay just drafted not 1 but 3 physical power backs. Meanwhile, Hunt has already established that he can handle a workload and has as much endurance and stamina as Andy Reid has ever seen. That level of confidence should keep a back on the field.
My 2 money league drafts were tonight, idk how I really feel about them ups and downs. Team 1: QB/2 RB/2 WR/2 Flex/TE - PPR QB: Matt Ryan, Carson Wentz RB: Jay Ajayi, Christian McCaffrey, Jacquizz Rodgers, Mike Gillislee, C.J. Prosise WR: Michael Thomas, Golden Tate, DeVante Parker, Ted Ginn, Robby Anderson, Kenny Stills TE: Tyler Eifert DST: Patriots K: Mason Crosby Team 2: QB/2 RB/2 WR/Flex/TE - Standard QB: Dak Prescott, Carson Wentz RB: Le'Veon Bell, Kareem Hunt, Doug Martin, Jamaal Williams, Robert Kelley WR: Doug Baldwin, T.Y. Hilton, DeVante Parker, Rishard Matthews, Ted Ginn TE: Greg Olsen, Vance McDonald DST: Patriots K: Cairo Santos
Love your first team with Ajayi/McCaffrey/Thomas/Tate. 2nd team is a little dicey but its hard to lose when you got Lev Bell. In a standard I think Parker is going to be a beast. Rob Kelley is going to be sneaky this year i think, and everyone LOVES Kareem Hunt even though i dont see it.
Yeah I feel the same way. During the 2nd team draft, my connection cut out twice and I autopicked T.Y. Hilton and, Robert Kelley. I like Hilton a lot ~if~ Luck was healthy. Kelley i'm really indifferent about, He will probably be dropped in the first few weeks for those popular Wavier Wire pickups.
10 team league and .5ppr QB Stafford (Eli) RB Bell (2nd pick) and Ty Montgomery (who I really like) (reserves Abdullah, Rob Kelley and Rawls) WR Cooper Dez and Parker start (Cobb, Coleman are reserves) TE Olsen and Ertz Flex: Abdullah or Ertz...haven't decided for week 1 yet K: Hopkins (Washington) D: Carolina
Eric Decker vs Tarik Cohen vs Kenny Golladay? I was debating dropping Eric Decker to pick up Tarik Cohen or Kenny Golladay. The rest of my team (10 team PPR league): QB - Aaron Rodgers RB1 - Christian McCaffrey RB2 - Ty Montgomery WR1 - Jordy Nelson (Yeah, I think the Packers are going to the Super Bowl this season) WR2 - Alshon Jeffrey TE - Jordan Reed Flex - DeVante Parker K - Wil Lutz DST - Houston Texans Bench: Sammy Watkins Corey Coleman Eric Decker Doug Martin Jacquizz Rodgers Phillip Rivers Tyler Eifert Should I just ride it out with Decker (lots of options on that running team in my PPR league) or claim Tarik Cohen or Kenny Golladay?
I put a bid in for both Tarik Cohen and Kenny Golladay with Cohen being Priority #1 for me, dropping Decker either way. Sorry, Eric Decker, "Goodbye" (At least Old Man Trevor voted for me with his last breath):
Yea for me its Cohen over Decker in a heartbeat. PPR or not. Decker looked old and out of sorts. Cohen is guaranteed to get tons of snaps and targets from that tepid Bears Offense. Im actually upset I won week one, not only did i lose David Johnson, but i lost out on getting a claim in on Cohen or Buck Allen. My RB depth chart is a wasteland.
I am in the same exact boat, lost DJ and couldn't claim Cohen on waivers. Pissed because I knew he was going to do well and attempted to pick him up before week 1 but I have Winston and couldn't afford to drop anyone because I needed an extra QB for the week.
Decker is coming off a hip surgery that threatened his career. He is a drop for now imo but you keep an eye on him later in the season when he may be further removed from said surgery and has built some chemistry with Mariotta maybe.
Dilemma this weekend. I can either play my top 3 Ravens defense at home against the hapless Texans. Or play Patriots (low scoring FF defense) at home vs the even more hapless Dolphins.
Big $$ on the line this weekend. Tough call for me. Who do I play in the flex(PPR)? Robbie Anderson, with Petty at QB and Lattimore at CB, Corey Coleman or Kerwyn Williams. I think I have changed it a dozen times. At RB, do I play Crowell or Duke Johnson?
I’d go Duke as I’d guess Baltimore will dare Kizer to throw the ball 40x and try and beat them. I’d bet Johnson is a good bet to catch 6-7 balls so if it’s ppr I think he’s the play. I’d go Kerry’s Williams vs Washington. Peterson on IR, there’s no real competition for the job and he ran well last week.
Most higher end TE's are being kept in my league - Gronkowski, Ertz, Engram, Delanie Walker, possibly even Kyle Rudolph. Is it worth it to go TE - 1. High like Kelce (around guys like Fitzgerald, Baldwin, Tyreek Hill, Mixon, Hilton). What to expect with the new QB? 2. Jimmy Graham a couple rounds later 3. or pick up a guy several rounds in? Anybody you think is underrated? I usually pick up a couple Dolphins late, so I will probably take a WR and Gesicki at the end of the draft, for what it's worth...
Maybe just rank them that way. Have Kelce as the priority in the 3rd; if he’s gone, look for Graham as your plan B; if Graham’s gone, get someone like George Kittle later on as the backup option (perhaps with Hayden Hurst as your Kittle hedge who looks like the 1st rounder he is).
Help wanted! I'm in a dynasty league and was offered out of the blue the following trade: Alvin Kamara C.J. Anderson Devin Funchess for Patrick Mahomes Royce Freeman Jerick McKinnon 2019 1st rounder If I were to add Kamara, my starters would look like: QB Matthew Stafford RB1 Dalvin Cook RB2 Alvin Kamara WR1 Antonio Brown WR2 Alshon Jeffery WR3 Mohamed Sanu or Devin Funchess TE Evan Engram or Mike Gesicki Flex1 Carlos Hyde Flex2 C.J. Anderson Thoughts?
Anderson & Funchess are fillers for him to squeeze more out of a trade that should only be about Kamara. I'd counter with something like Kamara + a 2nd for Mahomes, Freeman, and McKinnon.......... or Kamara + a 3rd for Freeman, McKinnon, and your 2019 1st seeing as it should probably be a low 1st. Maybe you could squeeze in a swap of Sanu for Funchess if you believe the latter will be more productive this year.
McKinnon, Freeman, and a 2019 1st are equivalent to 3 1st rounders for Kamara. I think it boosts the rationality of the trade when restated that way. I myself have Kamara and wouldn't trade him for that, so if you could snag one of those deals, I'd definitely take it.
I like Freeman but hes an unproven. I do not think Mckinnon is the answer some project him to be. At best hes a part time player being significantly overvalued as a centerpiece when his inability to stay healthy imo prevents him from ever being that. Love Mahomes. No problem giving the 2 backs, major problem giving the 1st and Mahomes with it. Make him pick 1 of them at best. He can keep CJ or Funchess that way. The only thing i caution on Kamara is TD regression relative to touches. Hes not staying at that level, no one is.
Ended up getting him to throw in a 3rd round pick onto the original deal. The thought of having Dalvin Cook, Alvin Kamara and Antonio Brown as a trio, and 2/3 of them being around for a while, was too good to pass up. Plus I already had an additional 2nd rounder for 2019 in my war chest. Trying to work a deal for Kenyan Drake now. Trying to offer a 2nd, C.J. Anderson and a WR for him.
Had my first draft of the year. Up and down on the team, I feel like it's kinda boom/bust potential. Lost connection and got auto drafted a few picks also PPR: QB/2RB/2WR/Flex/TE/DST/K QB: Philip Rivers, Patrick Mahomes RB: Alvin Kamara, Alex Collins, Jay Ajayi, Chris Thompson WR: Keenan Allen, Adam Thielen, Tyreek Hill, Kenny Stills, Marquise Goodwin TE: Trey Burton, Mike Gesicki D/ST: Eagles K: Justin Tucker
Glad to see you hooked Kamara. Good luck on Drake. I'm trying to upgrade my sloppy dynasty team. What area do you think I should address first, Kev??? QB - Brady , Mahomes WR - OBJ WR - Keenan RB - Kamara RB - Hunt TE - Kelce / Evan Engram FLEX - Mixon / Sony / Chris Carson / Sammy Watkins / K Benjamin DEF - Minne / Chargers brewing on the Bench: DJ Moore / Courtland Sutton / EQ St Brown / DJ Chark
I wouldn’t call it sloppy at all. My only thought, depending on roster sizes, maybe try and nab another starting QB so you can peddle Brady for future picks, but that’s my only real thought. Glad to see you have DJ Charles as well.
We were idiots and did IDP, but I won two games from it last year: DE - Khalil Mack, Wake LB - Preston Brown, Jarrad Davis Flex - Von Miller DB - Tre’Davious White, Eric Weddle Might consider moving Mack if it helps net Drake.
Every mock I've done has had people taking Saquan ahead of Hunt, Fournette, Gordon, ODB, and even sometimes ahead of Antonio Brown. That's just lunacy. One guy from my Clemson league said, "I wasn't thinking about drafting Barkley, but when he fell to 8, it was too much value to pass up". Meanwhile Fournette, Hunt, and Gordon lasted until 11, 12, and 14 respectively...... but Barkley at 8 somehow represents "value"?.... and Barkley at 5 is somehow "where he belongs"? Yikes. If I owned him in Dynasty, I'd be trading him for an elite back + additional compensation NOW while the rest of the country is stuck in this cocaine induced hype over him that's spastically skyrocketed his value to a level that no running back's production will ever be able to match. He's basically being valued as a back who will run for 2k, catch for 1k, and score 20+ TDs per year. I'll put dollars to donuts that Saquan never tops David Johnson's 2016 season of 2,116 yards, 20 TD, and 80 receptions (407 points PPR). He won't lead the NFL in rushing as a rookie like Elliot & Hunt did the past 2 years either. He's essentially being valued greater than the likes of LaDainian & Marshall Faulk, and Priest Holmes circa 2002-04, which is insane. He won't sniff that level.
Based on our scoring system, Khalil Mack is projected for 158 points. Carlos Hyde is projected for 135. I also have Cam Wake, who is projected for 131.
I thought I drafted a pretty good team but nfl.com gave me a C and a projected losing record. QB - Rivers, Tannehill RB – Fournette, Drake, Hyde, Lewis, Mack WR - Hopkins, Hill, Cooks, Funchess TE – Graham, Gesicki D – Jags K - Gould
Alfred Morris or Matt Breida, which one do you guys think deserves a roster spot since McKinnon is out for the year?
NFL.com projects me with a losing record every year. I'm always a top team. Fantasypros does a much better job with ranking.
I dropped Rishard Matthews and took Morris. Breida is still available in my league as well. Breida may be the starter.
