I have a fantasy about what would happen if Shula took the interim job: Monday: Don Shula Named Interim Coach. Tuesday practice: 12 minute run and full contact practice. Wednesday: 4-a-day practices. Thursday: Union gets injunction to force Shues to re-retire. Friday: Jimmy Johnson named interim coach.
You know I was thinking... Todd Bowles is listed as the Assistant Head Coach. Fire Sparano, elevate Bowles to interim head coach, keep Daboll and Nolan, current "systems" remain in place. Best case scenario? Players wake up and play their butts off...win out the season, finish 12-4..."kinda" like they did for Jim Bates after Wannstadt's resignation. Worst Case? Everything stays the same, at the end of the season you let everyone go and once again...like the convicts in "The Last Castle", tear the wall down and re-build...yet again.
