PSM3 (a Playstation magazine) wrote a review on the up coming Fallout3. This article wasn't supposed to go live for a while... But like the game the article was about, it leaked. Now the world has gone mad knowing that even Bethesda dropped the ball (at least graphically) on the Fallout3 port. PSM3 Blog: Fallout 3 looks rubbish on PS3 - UPDATED - PSM3 Magazine
I'm not saying they are I was just wondering if that was the case or if the PS3 was still giving companies pains. It seems to be a recurring theme that the PS3 versions of games tend to look slightly worse. However, some make it work so its a confusing situation to me (as I don't know enough about actual programming) but it appears if one gaming company could do it all could. However like I said I don't know enough about it.
i look at it like this... Different companies use different tools and techniques. Think of it like artists. I might paint and palm tree, and so do you. I might use a flat brush and long dragging strokes (HA! strokes.), you might use a thin pointed tip brush with small precise strokes (said it again... lol). Both may come out to be great looking trees. Both may have took a lot of work. But one might have suited the situation better. Maybe the canvases (the consoles - I know, I rule) handle one type of stroke over the other. I dunno...I'm at work and feel poetic.
Although I'm not sure if the Mor and Mindwarp are still the same person but I get, what who I believe to be Mor, is saying.
There is no excuse now for developers. The PS3 has been out for almost TWO years, and they still can't figure out how to program for it? It is ridiculous for companies to continually alienate one (growing) group of gamers at this stage.
Especially when there are plenty of companies that have absolutely no problems with it and are making great looking games.
They did a great job with the Oblivion port so this would be strange. I'll probably be picking this up soon on PS3 as I don't really have any other option. I hope there aren't really framerate issues.
They had over a year to perfect Oblivion after the 360/PC release. But I do agree that it's mighty strange of them.
