Not only did I enjoy seeing Fales orchestrate a few drives at the end there, but I absolutely love that he opted into a bomb on 3rd and 1. I'm sure that pissed Gase off something fierce since we could have grinded out the clock, but you have to love a young guy taking chances. On the other hand, could Gase have actually called that play? He said we needed to compete for 60 minutes of football....maybe it wasn't all Fales. It made me smile anyway, it reminded me of those Dolphins teams that would beat the crap out of the Jets and then rub it in their faces. Oh, one other thing....did we do an on-side kick in the 4th? I was half-working, half-watching and I must have missed that. I don't see anything wrong with it though.
We definitely did go with the onside kick in the fourth. I found it odd given the score, but I’d rather keep pounding and sticking it to them, especially if we’ve seen something on film that would make that play successful. As for Fales. I think he was only in the one drive and he just handed the ball off with the exception of the deep attempt. Which seemed odd too. But again. Whether it was fales. Or gase. I love the attitude of it.
Yeah, it was a good 50/50 ball and right on target! It made me smile from ear to ear that the kid had the guts to throw it in that situation.
I think Gase was sending a message. If you look at the playcalling, there’s a pattern there. I don’t even like the guy but I gotta respect that pounding he gave them and how he wanted his locker room to release their frustration.
It was good to see the backup in there. I was hoping maybe a series earlier, but at least he got some snaps.
