Falcons Writer: "Trade up to draft Jake Long"

Interesting, this Atlanta writer wants the Falcons to trade up to draft Jake:

Two words: Jake Long. The Falcons should draft the nearly flawless Michigan man of 6-foot-7 and 313 pounds, stick the guy at left tackle on their offensive line and then move on with the rest of their lives for the next decade or so. Just to make sure that neither the Miami Dolphins nor the St. Louis Rams snatch Long at No. 1 or No. 2, the Falcons should trade up or do whatever they can to make this happen.

Haven't heard this idea before, any reason for them to trade up with us works for me! :yes:

With DeAngelo hall gone now......what would you want in return? that team is garbage as well...

the Falcons have an extra 2nd rd pick from DeANGELO trade thats a start....

That's who I have them taking. I believe there was a thread of this on FH. Not the exact one but thoughts on the Falcons possible draft.

I was looking at some Draft magazines this weekend and some had Jake Long going as late as the #12 overall pick....a lot of "experts" are saying he would make more of RT than an LT. I doubt he would drop farther than maybe the 5th pick. They also said Ryan Clady of Boise State might be just as good.

i would take jake long over matt ryan anyday of the week

i think it would be smart for them to start rebuilding there line and if they want to trade up to #1 to take him that would be fine with me lol
