We may indeed have one of the worst TE situations in the league, but our starting TE isn't even close to the worst in the league.

I'm not bashing him; I'm not praising him. Maybe you misread my post. The percentages are a break down of Henne's total completed passes. 21.8% went to backs, and 34% to backs & TEs...... meaning roughly 66% of his completions went to his WRs (which is one of the highest percentages in the league, if not the highest).

I was only stating that based on facts, it's possible that Henne doesn't "excessively" check down as much as we think he does and berate him for. People call Chad, Captain Checkdown, yet Flacco completes 10% more passes to his backs and 15% more to his backs & TEs. That's all I'm sayin.

Look here pal, he's "Checkdown Chad" and don't you dare argue otherwise. Chad and checkdown both start with C-H, that's all I need to know. So you can take those facts of yours and shove em where the sun, and the common sense, don't shine...

Checking down at inopportune times with games on the line is going to get people saying those things. Regardless of if you actually do it a lot. People remember the game defining moments. They remember Chad Henne checking down to Ronnie Brown and time expiring.

I think that all of these qbs Flacco, Ryan and Sanchez without their running game working they all look the same.
As soon as the Jets were running effectively on Indi, Sanchez started looking better.
The Fins didn't run the ball like in prior years and relied on a second year QB and lost.

countless GMs said adterwords they would have gladly offered a 4th for him. The Steelers didn't even look for/listen to any other offers. The jets offered a 5th and the steelers simply washed there hands of him from that point on.

As much as I wish there were some reason to blame some one over the whole mess, it really did just come down to the Steelers no longer wanting his name in their uniform.

I think a huge part of them being able to get away with a weak line is the fact that Big Ben fits his name, where as Matt Ryan is at least 30 pounds lighter. Especially after watching last night's game, I think its obvious that a team with a quarterback with a slighter frame needs more protection to be successful.

I could not agree more the difference between Ryan and Flacco v. two of the best playing the position yesterday was blantantly obvious. They both may improve, but neither is at a level where they can truly carry a team against a good defense without their elite running backs playing well.

Yeah but even he has an awesome line if the Falcons could get any pressure up the middle he'd be less effective. Either way his pocket awareness and mobility are light years ahead of what Matt Ryan is capable of.
