Yeah, I can't imagine anyone buying tickets that way considering how much money they're going to be spending.

The only one I've attended was 2006 (there are various reasons I did not attend in 1994) and the soccer travel company I used got us tickets to all the US games.

Then at various times during our stay they offered other game tickets on a per game basis.

The only non-US game I went to see was France-Switzerland, but that meant with US-Italy, I managed to see both finalists live.

That made it worthwhile even though the US performance was not a good one.

Yeah I can see it here in the US where the tickets are lottery style, like mentioned, for the first "priority" in line people (prior to the teams being known). And then, those people could sell the tickets on secondary markets so that those systems get their cut of the proceeds. It's all a sham designed to profit off interested event goers. Ticketmaster, as an example, make an obscene amount on every transaction, buyer and seller fees... both sides have to pay fees.

The only "good" thing is that US/Mexico/Canada matches in the group stages are already known, as to location. US plays at SOFI twice in their group. So if I REALLY wanted to see the US play, I should have a decent chance of that (at a "reasonable" price).

Well, judging from the Copa Final, there is no need paying for expensive tickets to get in and see the games…:couch:
