Ah ok. I apologize for the misinterpretation. What do you predict for them and why?

i predict anywhere from 7-9 to 9-7. just dont think the team will gel and be able to handle the pressure. im predicting us to beat them week one before sending them to play NE and SD. 0-3 off the bat will put them in a hole they cant climb out of. just my opinion

I respect your opinion man, I'm just interested in your look at their season. You told me I was giving them a lot of credit but you seem to be giving almost as much credit as me to them. A game or two short of my prediction.

I think the Jets will beat us on Sunday.

Football is always about who wins at the LOS and turnovers. To this point we've been pretty good at avoiding turnovers. And we've been able to run the ball on everyone. This week should be no different.

However, I think the key will be NY's superiority at QB and WR vs. our inconsistent pass rush. I'm not convinced yet that we can effectively bring pressure and create turnovers. The thought of Coles and Cotchery singled up on our corners, which will happen at some point, is not something that makes me comfortable. Even a top flight guy like Will Allen will get beat sometimes. Coles can beat anybody.

Can we win Sunday? Absolutely. I think we've got a real shot. But after the last several seasons, I'm not yet ready to walk into any game and confidently predict victory. I guess that makes the feeling after a win even sweeter. :)

Hopefully it's hot as hell at Dolphin Stadium and we keep it close enough to keep pounding the ball at them throughout the game.

It really will be a good test of our secondary now that we have a healthy set on the field for the first time in a long long while.

Another area I'm concerned about is penalties. We've consistently shot ourselves in the foot to the tune of 8-9 penalties a game.

Hopefully that will subside now that the bottom 25 or so guys are gone, and the ones who remain have learned some lessons.

Amen! That is where I think Miami could lose the game by giving away free 1st downs on defense. I saw it happen more times than I care to recall last season.

Same goes for the offense it can go from a managable 3rd and 4 to 3rd and 14 with just a little lack of discipline.

I remember when Shula was around they were always the least penalized team in the league.

If you give the other team a free 100 yards every game those 3 point ballgames will always swing the other way.

Yup, and the defense freaking couldn't get off the field on third downs to save their lives. :tantrum:

I dont think we will know where we are until we play a real game .

We seem to be headed in the right direction.

If we manage to beat the Jets then we can be very optimistic. If not we will see how far we have to go before we can do so.
