nice read about the division there. Im sure glad we didnt wait on picking a Tackle. The run in the first round on lineman was crazy we definately wouldn't have gotten a guy as good as Jake had we waited. Good stuff!

I have to say this is the best I have felt about a draft since Spielman's one and only chance. In fact, I think I'm actually a lot happier about this one than that draft. That puts us back to the Johnson days.

I still can't understand how this was a bad year to have the #1 overall. I think people put way to much value on the "sexy pick".

I agree. I could care less how the pick looks, if the man produces then all be damn it was sexy to me.

It was "bad" in a few senses. Not just that we didnt get a "sexy" pick, but that there really wasnt anyone who wanted to trade up with us FOR a sexy pick.

Im happy with the draft though, I think we made out very well.

I like our 1st pick. It's safe yet can easily pay dividends if Long can at the very least be a Jonathan Ogden or a Flozell Adams clone. A strong run-blocking LT who can be decent at pass-blocking.

Agreed Alen, anyone who has watched our OL the last several years has to think this pick ranks right up there with Jessica Biel...

The argument that this was a bad year for the #1 pick is valid, but we got a guy who, to borrow someone else's line, instantly makes our OL legit...
