JT's cap number for 2008 is 10 million dollars. Zach's hit is 7.9 million.

I wish we had a defensive end like an Aaron Kampman. Jason Taylor takes plays off, too often.

How in the world does someone give Marc Bulger 17.5M ? That's crazy. Is this all salary that counts against the team's salary cap?

Recently he has alot, but I think its because he knows this season is a dud. He doesnt want to get hurt. I dont blame him. But, if he's not going to play right, they need to bench him, IMO. He's gone after this yr. Its not even an afterthought yet...but its going to happen.

We can... probably a better one.. by drafting Chris Long of Virginia.

I've been saying all along that you just don't draft a DT top 5 in a draft unless he's a guaranteed Reggie White. Sorry but I don't see that in Dorsey not to mention that Dorsey has already had some nagging injury history.

DE is a premium position and great ones are rare.
You can find a big body DT to hold up lineman later in drafts.
Dorsey just isn't worth the investment.

Well, Dorsey can play end and DT, so he's our man.

Draft Dorsey and throw a bucket of loot at Jared Allen. that would fix our D-line for years.

I totally agree. This 3-4/4-3 hybrid crap is getting on my nerves. We simply don't have the players to run it effectively and drafting a bunch of guys to fit that scheme does'nt make sense to me actually.

Saban ran it well but we had the defensive lineman to run it effectively and Saban is simply a better defensive mind then Capers is in my opinion.

A 4-3 is a lot easier to find players for especially now. A few years ago the only teams running the 3-4 were the Pats and the Steelers. They had their pick of the oversized ends and the tweener ends to convert to linebacker.

Draft Dorsey, have him become Warren Sapp version 2.0, find a space eater (maybe Solai if he ever gets his head out of butt), move Holliday back to end, get Jared Allen (or bite the bullet and have JT for one more year), have Rod Wright and Matt Roth as the first two off the bench and get a raw speed/edge rusher (Moses?) to rotate in, that would solve some issues.

...all we'd need then would be a middle linebacker (or an outside guy if Crowder sticks in the middle), a #1 corner (Asomugha?) or another high level 1A guy (to Will Allen's 1B) and another safety (Bell will never stay healthy) to go with Jason Allen.

    ....easy rebuild...LOL!

If Chris Long is anything like his pops mentally, we need to grab him and run with it . . . . Howie was a monster.
