Wow u never like to see that happen....move over sack leader Wake is comng!! On a postive note, a blow to a contending playoff team...

Elvis Dumervil has suffered a torn pectoral muscle and he is out indefinitely.

It's a devastating blow for the Broncos as Dumervil will miss at least four months and there's a good chance that last year's sacks leader is out for the season. As the focal point of Denver's 3-4 defense, Dumervil was rewarded with a five-year extension just two weeks ago that will pay him $43.156 million guaranteed over the next six years. The Broncos are going to have a difficult time recovering from this injury.

Mike Klis just learned Dumervil is going to have surgery to repair torn pec, he will be out until at least Nov + could miss entire season.

That is how easy it is for a Defense to be sunk before the season even begins.

Robert Ayers had a ton of positive reviews coming out in 09, now he has to live up to them or Denver will have no passrush to speak of..ouch.

Apparently they are counting on Jarvis Moss, who they feel has improved since last season. That will be rough IMO.

From what I've heard, very little chance of him going anywhere but Houston.

Sucks for Dumerville. The Broncos are a disaster. No Dumerville. Ryan Clady will miss all of preseason and possibly some regular season games. They have Kyle Orton and Tim Teblow. No more Marshall or Schefler. No more Nolan. Josh McDaniels is their headcoach. On a positive note I do like Demaryius Thomas a lot. Sucks to be a Broncos fan right about now.

Ouch, I've lurked on some Broncos fan boards and they have hope that Jarvis Moss and Robert Ayers are the answer...err...

Good luck with that McD, last yr's fast start made him look great, this year I suspect things won't be quite so rosey early in the year.

Apparently the Texans are not offering anything close to his 6 million dollar Bills salary and they are legitimately 4 deep at both DE slots in their 4-3.

If the Broncos want him, they will have to pay close to the 6 millie to land him to play in their 3-4.

dont know how affective he could be though.....

Barring a setback in his rehab, beat writer Mike Klis is hearing that Elvis Dumervil (pectoral tear) will play this season.

Klis paints a very rosy picture on the Dumervil situation, saying that "nearly everything" he's been hearing points toward the star sack artist returning. It's the first bit of positive news we've heard on Dumervil and it could mean that the Broncos came away from his surgery optimistic. It sounds like the Broncos will keep a roster spot tied up for Dumervil and hope he gets back sometime around early December.
