Coming out of, UM which ran a pro style offense, he was Harris's favorite target for a reason.he was a basketball convert yes, but he was not as raw coming out as we'd like to think. Sent from my LG-MS770 using Tapatalk
This debate is so pointless is ridiculous. Parcells probably had final say (though I do remember Armando saying Parcells told him Ireland ran the 2009 draft) but regardless the losing product on the field falls on everyone's shoulders, Tuna, Ireland, Sparano, they were all massive failures, good riddance to all three.
Jimmy Graham had one year of playing experience. Graham totaled; 17 catches, 214 yards, and 5 TD's. He was the 7th leading receiver on the team. We talking about the same guy? He flashed talent and ability, but by no means was he a great prospect. He was a physically talented work in progress.
I thought the same thing. Was Bush a victim of that whole leadership curse? It certainly seemed that Philbin wanted everybody who'd been on the committee gone. Although I did hear that the coaches were unhappy with Bush's high number of negative plays. My understanding was that was the reason Bush was let go. As far as I know it was primarily a coaching decision.
Every third catch was a touchdown. Guy was a playmaker. Made Jacory Harris look good even. Sent from my Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk 4
OK. I don't disagree that. Graham flashed ability and potential. That doesn't mean he wasn't raw and inexperienced. If he wasn't either of those things, he would of had more opportunities and been even more productive. Not to mention he wasn't/isn't a good blocker. Part of why I said, I didn't think he fit Miami's offense during the Parcells era.
Arguably one of the saddest things about that dark period in our history. We didn't have time to waste redefining the TE position in a pass heavy league, while being busy with the three yards and a cloud of dust mentality. Sent from my Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk 4
Exactly why i was checking this thread - thanks for the info Edit: ThePhinsider has the story, so there's confirmation.
Glad he got picked up, but he's got a tough roster to crack at TE with the Lions with Ebron, Fauria and Pettigrew ahead of him.
The Lions make no sense for him unless they are planning on using him at FB. He should have waited for the Cardinals or Green Bay to call.
