Early Vegas Odds for NFL Teams to Make the Playoffs

Bullpoop. How can the patriots be such strong favorites? We have their defensive coordinator and Brady is too old to win a shootout.

A $10 bet would potentially allow you to win $120. Moneylines are in units of 100.

Well that’s crap. Being the layman that I am I see that as 1200-1

+1200 means you win $1200 for every $100 you bet.

-850 means you have to bet $850 to win $100.

So you're saying we should start Rosen week 1?

Denver at +425 is interesting. Might have to put something down on them, that defense under Fangio is going to be nasty.

The Chargers are probably the 4th best team in the AFC on paper, but they have an absolutely brutal schedule, and I'll be surprised if they win more than nine games. If I were a betting man, I'd bet against them this season.

They have four easy wins in their division, plus games against the Fins, Bills and Jets which they are better than. So it's easy to think they're on their way to seven wins already. But then I look at the rest of their schedule, and I wonder if they go even 2-7 in the other nine games.

I think the Rams take a major step back this season and miss the playoffs.
