In the unlikely even that we could trade down to the bottom of the round and acquire a 2nd-rounder, the last thing I'd want is to spend that 1st - or even the 2nd, for that matter - on Kolb. And this is from someone who liked Kolb coming out.
Why do almost everyone of your links say error, not found, or been removed? My best bet is because they're BS to begin with or someone is using a link to a site and adding his/her made up thoughts. Florio started this way I guess....
Good thing we don't have a LATE 1st round pick, or any 2nd round pick!!!!! I don't want Corn-on-the-Kolb.

The blurb says, "The Cleveland Browns and the Miami Dolphins might also slip into the chase." That's not interest. That's speculation.
Why would the browns even be interested? If they go ahead and make that trade we should see what it will take to grab Colt McCoy from them, Daboll's offense seemed to work fairly well with him at QB.
When you compare the cost to recent trades of Schaub and Cutler, its a damn bargain. And par for what KC gave up for Cassel. If Ireland trades the 15th pick for Kolb I will take it as a sign of desperation very similar to Wannstadt's awful trades.
Naa... Here's the cached link. http://webcache.googleusercontent.c...d=2&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us&source=www.google.com
Still think it's more of a made up story than anything else. No way do I see this team trading away a 1st or 2nd for a Qb that, until now, is no better than one already on their roster....
I can't see Ireland being desperate enough to send the Eagles a first or second round pick for Kolb. I sure as hell hope so anyways.
According to the thread title the Eagles are shopping multiple Kolbs. This means we could make the trade and then deal away whichever Kolb is the worst.
Player must love them some ESPN highlight reels cause that's how so many people determine if the players is a stud.
Kolb is OVERATED! No way we give up our 1st for Kolb, Ireland isn't that stupid. Just a bunch of bologna!
I think in order for this franchise to ever get a REAL qb again we should just trade our entire roster minus a couple and our whole staff minus nolan for a future stud like matt ryan and if you throw in chris johnson we can call it a fair trade
Friend Dol Fan99: not far from my thoughts on QB's: 1) if it is not the real deal, a bonified franchise QB under 30, I would not go for it. if he was, I'd pay the piper 2) might be prudent to go on the cheap for a QB in a year of extensive offensive rebuilding. 3) allow for competition in the stable for the start 4) then go for broke next year for the franchise QB we need to lead us to a SuperBowl
would not go for anything above a forth round pick for a player that was not a proven bull & then I'd think twice about it
I think if this orginization trades another 2nd round pick for any QB I'll drive to Miami to ish on the owners desk, and then start watching golf on TV and drinking vodka for breakfast
Eh, we're only pretending to be interested to make it seem like we'd use our 1st rounder on a QB. We're just trying to build up the value of the #15 spot to hopefully get the most out of trading back.
Let's hope so. I really don't think there's a worthy prospect there other than Mark Ingram, and even then, I'd feel like we'd be slightly burning the value of the 15th overall pick on him right there.
I hope so too. I'm actually warming up to the idea of Mikel LeShoure. He'd be my 1st round pick if we can't trade back. I think he can do for us what Mendenhall does for Pitt, but only with better hands out of the backfield. I like Ingram more as a prospect, but I like LeShoure more for what we're looking to do on offense. All IMO of course.
Todd... you have simply got to get the goggle... oogle....ah... google out of your avatar. It's sidstracting to us odler folks.. er.. older folks....
Don't you mean what you're looking to do on offense? To me, Ingram fits right in with any offense. LeShoure is a solid pick but not before Ingram imo. Ingrams vision is what makes him special and this is coming from someone who wants his Rb's built exactly like LeShoure...
I like Leshoure as well, and he'd be my 2nd choice at RB after Ingram. With him though, I think you can grab him later on. I'd prefer a scenario of trading back from 15 4-6 spots, grab say, Mike Pouncey to solidify the interior of the O-line and hope you can get Leshoure in round 2. I also like Titus Young and Kendall Hunter at lot in rounds 2/3 if they last that long. I'd still be very interested to see what would happen if free agency is before the draft. Logan Mankins and Ahmad Bradshaw sound pretty good, and that gives you far more options with the 15th pick.
I agree about Ingram. I feel he's a better runner than LeShoure, and if we had a solid #2 on this team with decent hands etc, then I'd prefer Ingram. However, since we're heading into the draft with zero backs on the roster and FA being unknown, it would be in our best interest to grab a guy who is the best all around back..... and that's LeShoure. He's more dynamic and more versatile..... and if we're opening up the offense a bit, we'll need his dynamic play and versatility IMO.
With no RBs on our roster and the draft probably happening before free agency, IMO we're almost forced to take one of the top 2 backs in the first round. I'd rather take him at 28, but if I can't trade back, then 15 would have to do. I like Ingram a ton, but I feel LeShoure is a better all around back for what we're trying to accomplish. I really like his versatility, which is something that would be lacking with Ingram (and what we're currently lacking on offense). If he can add a little more size & strength maybe he can become a similar player to Steven Jackson. He's only 20 years old, so he's still very much growing into his 230 lb body. When this kid's 24, he could seriously become a beast. I'm not sure about his mental side of the game (dedication, work ethic etc), so that would play a serious factor and need to be checked off first.
I'd prefer to trade back and still pick up LeShoure, too, but I'm afraid we'll have to trade back no more than 10-12 spots if we want him. Once the combine gets here, he'll probably supplant himself firmly in the 1st round. I'm with you on Titus Young if he's there in the 3rd, but I'll be happy if it's Jernigan or Greg Little..... and I'll be annoyed it's none of the 3. I hope FA comes first as well. I hate going into the draft being forced to take a RB #1 b/c we're left with no choice. Bradshaw would be my top guy, too.... along with one of the playmaking TEs <since the draft wont provide us anything special>. Thank God there's more than 1 way to skin a cat this offseason and still come out improved as a team. If we only came away with LeShoure, Greg Little, Mercedes Lewis, Incognito, Lex Hilliard, a healthy Kory Sheets, and a healthy 2011 Oline, we'd be greatly improved over 2010 IMO.... and I think we can do better than that if Ireland doesn't screw us on offense yet again. lol.
