I went with the 360 last time over the PS3. I don't think I'll be going that direction this time out. The One looks to be cost prohibitive, and the crippling restrictions on games just seems unnecessarily restrictive - perfect example, I travel a lot for work, sometimes one to two weeks at a time, without an internet connection. I've taken my 360 in the past, mostly to be able to play things like Skyrim. I can't do that with this new console. I'm very excited for the PS4. I'll take a new Metal Gear, Kingdom Hearts, and Final Fantasy game over Master Chief this time out. I admire the balls on Sony to give consumers a choice when it comes to gaming.
Add me to the list of gamers switching from MS to Sony. I'm not sure if I'll do it at launch though. GTA V is still scheduled for release on the 360.
Most of the non-exclusive next-gen games are coming out on current-gen consoles, too. You can conceivably wait a year before buying either a One or a PS4. It's not like there are suddenly going to be no games for your 360 or PS3. Though Stitches needs to get his MGS4 on soon.
The problem I have is I will only be 2-3 months into GTA5 and I'd have to give that up to trade in my ps3 for a ps4 (I cant afford ps4 on its own) I wont wanna give up GTA that fast. Unless they make it available for download on psn.....as its not backward compatible.
The entirety of chapter 4, but particularly its concluding sequence, will make you ask yourself why you waited 5 years to play it.

The PS4 is better from a service standpoint, but don't forget it has better hardware compared to the Xbone as well. DDR5 ram as opposed to DDR3 as an example. Sony just non-lubed M$ right in the...
I was kind of hoping we would see a new Zelda game, rather than Wind Waker HD. And that's coming from someone who thought Wind Waker was awesome.
Pete/Des help me out of this.....this camera here below..... how does this work and also is it vital/needed to play the system? The way I have my 3 set-up right now in my living room there is a "coat closet" but it isn't a coat closet it is my cable box, ps3, and receiver. Long story short all wires are up through the ceiling to the TV on the wall.....I dont have a entertainment center or anywhere to put the camera in the living room, all components again are hidden..... Does the camera need to be in view of the person playing?

If that is the PS4 camera, it has already been confirmed that it is not part of the console purchase, and to be purchased separately, so it is not critical like the kinect, and is an optional accessory.

You'd have to have the camera mounted above or below your tv for it to work properly. If you have a flat panel tv, you have somewhere to put it wadr. Getting the usb cable to where you'd need it might take a little work though. I don't think it'd be too hard though depending on how your cables run behind the wall already.
Wouldn't be a problem, I would just pull the TV off the wall and run the cable through.....now problem is I would need about a 15-18ft cable and an adapter for the original camera's outlet.... I bet these guys could make it.... www.bluejeanscable.com
I hear good things about bjc, but all you should need is a USB repeater cable which can be had pretty cheap of monoprice (as one example). I got one for my PS3 eye and it works just fine.
Right right I am overthinking it..... Yes I bought a few cables from them, very reasonable and made to order if you need an obscure length like say 13ft. I would need an repeater cable with one male end and female. Easy enough!
Ah yeah Destiny looks amazing! I love the details in this game... when they are having the shootout in front of the police station the little things stand out. Notice how the bullets go through the car doors seamlessly, the character closes the door as he is moving, and enemies actually have to readjust their cover when you shoot the tire out of a car. Looks super fun.
Thats what I have been saying all along, THIS is what I have been waiting for.....I am such a honk for realism in a game, even on that MGS5 the way when Snake is creeping the shadow piers across the ground.... I cant wait, I cant freaking wait for this to come out.....As much as I love summer I wont mind when November rolls around.... Stitches man I hope they come out with MLB in March of next year...

I must say, Nintendo has a solid line-up. Granted, barring any screw-ups on their part, Sony should be owning at least the next couple of years in gaming, but Nintendo may still do their thing yet.
